343i Doing to Much?

If you think about it, since 343i has been with the series we have gotten Halo anniversary, Halo 4, Halo MCC, Halo 5, and now Halo Wars 2. That is a total of 5 games in 5 years (going on six) and 7 if you count Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike. Compared to Bungie, they only had 2 games out and one releasing later in 2007 (Halo 3). Now this could be a good thing. More content. YAY! But the problem is that you can see the glitches of Halo 5 and it’s terrible campaign. Not even to mention the horrible mess that was supposed to be one of the best Halo experiences, Halo: the Master Chief Collection. Maybe if 343i would slow it down a little, We could have games that are more polished? One Halo could be the focus point of 343 so more effort and time can be put in to the game to make it the best it can be.

You hit the nail on the head

They are absolutely doing too much, and now the Halo community is divided across too many games. Which makes it hard to find a match online sometimes.

The anniversaries cannot be called a full game. Major halo titles are by far less common which is great.

  • 2001 (Halo CE by Bungie) - 2004 (Halo 2 by Bungie) - 2007 (Halo 3 by Bungie) - 2009 (Halo Wars by Ensemble Studios) - 2009 (Halo 3 ODST by Bungie) [Expansion to Halo 3] - 2010 (Halo Reach by Bungie) - 2011 (Halo CEA by 343 Industries) [Remaster] - 2012 (Halo 4 by 343 Industries) - 2013 (Halo Spartan Assault by 343 Industries and Vanguard Games) - 2015 (Halo Spartan Strike by 343 Industries and Vanguard Games) - 2014 (Halo MCC by 343 Industries) [Remaster and XBOX ONE Version] - 2015 (Halo 5 by 343 Industries) - 2017 (Halo Wars Def. Edition by 343 Industries) [XBOX ONE Version] - **2017 (Halo wars 2 by 343 Industries and Creative Assembly)**All the games written in Italics are not really a full Halo game with much less development time. They can either be a spin off, expansion or remaster.

It’s still a point they have to focus on. 343 still has to aid in the development in all games, even if it is very minor. Not to mention that remakes still take time and energy. 343i still has to make a functional game. If we want a complete, good game, we need ALL energy and time to be put on ONE game. As much as I want a Halo 3 Anniversary, this is still true.

I think 343 Industries do also have more employees working on games which means they can work on side project. Bungie did first start to work frequently on new Halo titles after Halo 3.
343 are also not the only developer on most titles like Spartan Assault/Spartan Strike and Halo Wars 2.

You nailed it. MCC was doomed from the start because it tried to do so many things.
