I just got over 30 kills in CTF, won the match, and didn’t rank up. Lol
There is somewhere in between.
You just go into social and play at the intensity that keeps you chill. You wait for your MMR to settle at this level - and then you get matched at that intensity pretty much every game.
I imagine it’s pretty what most (average) people do.
It’s certainly how I feel the system treats me.
The problem for high achievers though is that they can’t resist showing off or going for that long killing streak. They can’t handle just having a K/D of one. Or if the team is falling behind they feel they have to switch into beast mode to win the game. So they just end up ranking up to where they started.
Once more with feeling.
Your CSR doesn’t look at personal performance. It goes up on the win, the size of the upset, and where it is in relation to your MMR.
If your CSR didn’t go up you either just beat a team ranked well below you (so they system can’t rank you up) or your CSR is drifting higher than your MMR (you have been on a bit of a winning streak vs lower ranked teams).
Congrats on your 30 kills though.
As a personal metric your MMR is interested in kills per minute. So it may go up if those 30 kills were in a relatively short game. And if your MMR actually went up it can then pull on your CSR in the next game.
It depends on your rank vs the opposition (smashing lower ranked players doesn’t do a lot).
But you are the one that has completely failed to see that streamers have a hell of a lot more of an influence then you will ever have throughout your life time when it comes to developers. 343 doesn’t even know you exist.
Maybe think before making anymore foolish replies to me.
They were plat 4s, higher than me. Therefore, I should be a plat 4. I just won a second match, again with 30 kills against plat4’s. Therefore, I should be a plat 4. If I outplay and destroy somebody that’s higher than me, then I should have their rank. The same goes for the last few times when I was doing the same thing to diamonds. I should be in diamond. I understand how scummy the system is though. 343 does it on purpose to force grinding to entice store purchases for the bks you just carried. I just enjoy posting things like this to expose how pathetic it is. There are people that dropped the game that still come here to see what’s going on.
Quick glance on Halo Data Hive and the teams weren’t that far away in terms of average MMR.
One of the teams you beat was average MMR of Plat 3. The other was Gold 4.
And out of your 8 opponents, only one of them was a Plat 4.
Ranking systems don’t jump to conclusions on the basis of a few results. You wouldn’t want to rank down immediately just because you lost one game to a Plat 2.
Again. A couple of great games.
But in that playlist you have KD of 1.1 and a win rate of 48%.
This suggests you are at, or around, your rank.
And despite today’s efforts you have lost 16 of your last 25 odd games. I suspect there were probably a few sub 30 kill performances mixed in there?
And you are Diamond in the other playlist… so it’s a definite possibility.
As a rough rule of thumb - if you want to be Diamond 1 you need to be 50:50 win loss vs that level of opposition and with a kpm of 1.5 or so (against those teams).
A win here or there isn’t going to do it.
And keep in mind you are compared to the opposition’s average rank. Just because there was a Diamond on the team doesn’t mean they are considered a “team” of Diamonds.
Tin.
Foil.
Hat.
I think you need to look at whatever you are doing in Cross Play and transfer it to the other queue. It’s obvious from the stats you are performing differently in both lists. Nothing to do with 343 and the weekly bundles in the store.
They weren’t odd games. Bad teammates=afk.
Still. Not a convincing form line in terms of ranking up.
Your 30K game vs the Plat 3 side might give your MMR a little nudge… but probably not a lot. The 30K game vs the mid-Golds will probably be ignored.
It’s probably worth looking at the two queues and trying to work out what you are doing that is so different.
Outplaying somebody in every scenario especially 1v1s means I’m his rank or higher.
Definitely.
You just need to do it consistently to prove to the system you deserve to hold the rank. And at the same time not lose a lot of games to teams ranked below you.
The two games you’ve highlighted show that you beat teams effectively ranked Plat 3 and Gold 4. This tells us you should be ranked at least above them. And hey, presto… Plat 4.
