343i Clear It Up

Already I have seen numerous threads about whether or not the deadeye and locus helmets will be included in the highly likely release of pre-order content. Everyone wants an answer.

It would be great if someone would officially state that the only armor staying exclusive is the LE, Console, and Season pass armor. Also, whether or not the pre-order content (armor and emblems) will be 100% confirmed.

These here is something that is bothering me, and would be great if it was cleared up with a straight forward answer.

If they dont reply then we’ll know that it will be DLC in the future. What I do hope is that they do what EPIC did with the skins. Alter them slightly so we can tell who has the original pre-ordered armor and who has the DLC armor.

Not sure if it’s the actual developers that do these stupid store specific exclusives, I think it’s Microsoft that makes them do it.

Also they need to make it clear whether or not the Scanner and Strider will be in the LE

Has 343i ever responded to anyone on here in a frequent manner?

not really

> If they dont reply then we’ll know that it will be DLC in the future. What I do hope is that they do what EPIC did with the skins. Alter them slightly so we can tell who has the original pre-ordered armor and who has the DLC armor.

My main concern right is whether or not the “exclusive” deadeye and locus are will be in that pre-order content release.

Anyways, it wouldn’t really bother me too much if they modified them, but it depends on how much they did it. Do you have any side by sides of the GOW 3 skins after being modified?

> Also they need to make it clear whether or not the Scanner and Strider will be in the LE

This is another thing that it would be great to have an answer for. I’ve seen so many threads on these topics, people would think it would have been cleared up by now.

> Has 343i ever responded to anyone on here in a frequent manner?

Not really. The monitors post more than 343. 343 mostly posts on Neogaf. There are way to many hormonal 17 year olds here.
OT

I really hope that pre-order exclusives STAY exclusive. For the people that do spend the on the console it would be nice for them to have something that says “hey I got this”

The console and LE content are not pre-order content though. I agree with you that LE and Console content should stay exclusive, but not pre-order. There are way to many pre-orders to get, and anybody willing to buy 6 or 7 copies to get all of it is out of their mind.

I don’t want to miss out on all of those sweet armor skins and emblems just because I didn’t pre-order from one of the many many locations.

maybe 343 overlooked it? they have a -Yoink- ton of stuff on their plates and are releasing info weekly. myabe try sending bs Angel a message about this and maybe that will open some doors for it getting posted in one of the bulletins.

I believe only skins are available to retailers, not actual armour. It’s just the SKIN is for THAT specific armour. The only armour not available to everyone is Recruit, Fotus, the strider and scanner helmets.

Recruit is for people who buy the limited edition.
Fotus is for people who buy the Halo 4 console.
Strider and scanner helmets are for people who buy the wargames season pass thing. Which eventually will be available to everyone, but people who buy the limited edition or console get the wargames season pass thing right away.

Correct me if I’m wrong.

For the most part, yes you are correct. But, in recent PAX armory videos, when scrolling over the Deadeye and Locus helmets, they can be seen as just Deadeye and Locus, they do not have a skin on them.

Video for reference. Skip to about 1:20 for the Deadeye and Locus helmets: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bVaDVmcHGU

I can see why that’s troubling, I’d ask an employee. But I don’t think they’d give a retailer such a pre-order incentive.

That’s because all of the armour appears like that unless someone has applied a skin to it before. The pre order skins are not armour, you’re safe.

I still wish someone from 343i would clear up this whole thing. It’s bothering me not knowing what will happen, and I’m sure other people feel the same way.

I would really like to know this. Because if the helmets are exclusive, then I need to know to pre order from Bestbuy to get Deadeye then sell the game to one of my friends… lol

Locus and Deadeye are both helmets that will be unlockable in game for everyone.

Only the skins are available for preorder.

Pre order skins:

I cant believe people are still debating this.

The PAX build contains the full set of armor in Halo 4

There was no extra skins for the Locus and Deadeye at pax, just the helms, thats probably what is causing the debate, and I too am fairly concerned because I’d really like to get my hands on the Locus helm.

The PAX build did NOT include any pre-order skins

Really? <3
I love when I’m wrong about these things
