Yes, I am indeed a tryhard. On that note;
I am not sure I entirely agree with the whole idea of custom loadouts again with ‘not-entirely-random’ power weapon drops but hey! By all means innovate, keep the game fresh and fun. I havent played it yet, I cannot judge… BUT, please learn from Reach and cater to your tyhard, MLG, noncasual fans as well as the casuals. That’s all I’m saying 
Build a system that is meant for shear fun, give everyone shotguns and no shields with instant respawns and random rocket drops with mass ‘Spartan Point’ gains for exterminations with a sword (I really couldn’t care less). BUT PLEASE make a section for some sort of ranked matchmaking.
At the end of the day, I go to Halo (as opposed to other games) for fun, honed, practised, and mastered competition. It’s fun to see your self progress as a player, and its fun to curb stomp other tryhards through layers and layers of bad, immature, ridiculous trash talking. I’ve enjoyed previous titles, (yes, even Reach’s TU), and I hope 343, you make this the best addition to the series since CE.

My thoughts exactly. Becoming a better halo player is very important to me, and I am looking forward to halo 4.
To be honest, if they give us the option to take away all of this rubbish and just set up a game of Halo in customs, it might be worth playing. Just never, ever touch matchmaking.

While agree that custom games are an amazing fundamental basis for creating and playing specific variants that an individual may want is fun, I find (at least for me) that I cannot establish a large enough part to play what it is that I want to.
What 343 could do is possibly (but I doubt it) game preferences when queuing for Matchmaking such as;
-Battle Rifle Starts
-No Armour Abilities
-0% Shield Variants
-etc.
Or like a ‘Host It’ menu where people can host their Custom game, and people can find lobbies they wish to join. Custom Games have always been a shining piece of Halo that Im beginning to see fall out which began with the end of Halo 3. So if 343 could do something to help players get together to player what they wish to play with people, it would be all that much greater.
Just an idea, hopefully 343 awknowledges that Custom games need some looking into and they make Halo 4 that much better!
