343i can do a lot better.

I think, despite all the balance issues, performance issues and bugs, 343i can make one hell of a game if they tried.

Yes, this game is unfinished and unpolished, and we’re going to have to live with that until Halo 5 releases, which will not be any time soon.

If they really, really try with Halo 5 and LISTEN to us, and listen to the amount of feedback they are receiving for this game, it can be great.

They just need to listen.

Play Doubles pro. The set spawns and restricted loadouts are the best thing to happen to this game.

I can say with clear eyes and a full heart that it truly… Feels like Halo™

I don’t know. I mean, they listened to the wrong people when they made the TU for Reach (although I think they took the lazy way doing it). Since they’re new they’re falling into the trap of thinking the very vocal minority are the players to be heard, despite the fact that every other developer in the world know not to listen to these people.

I think that 343i has done a great job.

As for your post, it would also be nice that if you are going to be critical, you at least include actual criticisms (that is, specific issues and / or examples).

The game is very well done and actually quite polished.

I think that multiplayer and campaign are both phenomenal.

Campaign could have done a better job outlining the back story, but the story of Cortana’s timer ticking down is intense. The story also has some major twists.

Multiplayer is the best we’ve seen to date. Loadouts have been long overdue, ordinance is a great addition, and despite what are largely inaccurate criticisms, the sandbox is well balanced.

Having a competitive spartan ranking would have been good from the get go, and as much as I love the spartan ops, there is so much going on that they could really tone it down to decrease the lag.

I wish 343i the best and I feel that Halo is in good hands.

Nope, it’s not.

Loadouts are okay, just get rid of AAs, and perks.
I don’t think anyone really likes ordnance. Worst idea to come to Halo EVER.
And the sandbox is NOT balanced. Look at PV and the Boltshot.

inb4 blind 343 fanboys call me a “HATER AND GO BACK TO COD OR HAYLOW THRE111!!!”

Is the vocal minority the people who want a fun, fair, and balanced game without crap like ordnance and perks?

343i is listening. Just look at the new playlist coming soon. Team Snipers, Team Doubles, Forge Test Playlist, and especially the Competitive Slayer playlist.

DLC coming in the next couple weeks has 2 small maps, and 1 medium.

Consolidation of objective games into one playlist. The return of KotH.

April the much needed CSR is coming. Even though it won’t be visible in game.

No details on the TU yet though. I do hope for more gametypes, (1-flag, Assault, 1-bomb, race, juggernaut, ViP, Infection(not flood), and of course a bit Bolstshot nerf.

In the next couple months I believe Halo 4 is really going to get a foot hold and start running.

feels like halo except for the fact that because of JiP, i have yet to play a doubles game where my opponents dont quit out or i dont get forced into a JiP game

i’ll look for version 2 of this post after halo 5 comes out

Sure they are capable of doing better. I mean there is only one way to go right? This game is a buggy mess with terrible casual fest mechanics.

Ordnance drops. Terrible. Surrree lets have it be possible to have a crap ton of power weapons on the map at the same time and have nothing spawn around the map so that when you run out of ammo you are just SOL. Good idea… Not to mention Ordnance is a reward for doing next to nothing.

Flinch… Something NO ONE ever complained about was descoping. So what do they do? Add flinch and take out descope… good call on that one, now we have an OP DMR and an easy to use sniper…

Removal of classic CTF… This I will never understand…

Custom game options stripped to the bone with feature that don’t even work… Didnt need a public beta? The evidence says otherwise.

Instant respawn? WHY? it has always been an option in custom games…want to know why no one ever used it? Because it was terrible.

Default sprint. Not even an option to disable it? Forcing long time fans to “adapt” to a stupid mechanic is such an arrogant thing to think would be a good idea.

Maps. Large overly cluttered spaces that play like trash. Halo used to be an arena shooter… now it is some hybrid between CoD and Halo that plays like neither.

AA’s and Specializations… They dont do anything positive for the game. It is filler material. It is fake substance. Nothing was broken before… Innovation is fine if what you are implementing is adding more problems then it solves. In this case there was no problem but now we have a huge balance problem… stupid

All that I just listed shows the track record of 343’s decision making. They dont know Halo. It is painfully obvious they don’t know what is an isnt important. Will they get better? Recent signs point to it being a possibility but one would have thought that after they took over Reach they wouldn’t have made these mistakes with H4 and they did and more.

capable of making a good game… yea probably… will they? I have very little hope.

My request would be that they no longer make the War Games multiplayer canon. That way, our multiplayer isn’t limited to only what “makes sense.” It opens up a lot more opportunities for both competitive and casual players (maybe even getting my precious Action Sack games back), and it would allow for playable elites again.

Multiplayer is canon, but 343 isn’t limiting multiplayer to make it that way. I can’t picture Grifball as canon, or Spartans all running around with plasma pistols.

> Multiplayer is the best we’ve seen to date. Loadouts have been long overdue, ordinance is a great addition, and despite what are largely inaccurate criticisms, the sandbox is well balanced.

Largely inaccurate? Stop being delusional. This isn’t even including the other balance issues in the game.

Ordnance is random and promotes camping for kills.

Loadouts would be fine if they weren’t full of imbalanced options and perks.

You know what, completely forget balance for a second. That still leaves us with missing vehicles, missing gamemodes, and missing game options.

Multiplayer is the worse to date.

Any company can make a great game if they try.

For a polished game, why are some of the same glitches from Reach still in like vehicles that spontaneously fling across the map? Why were/are there still spots on maps you can phase through?

> Campaign could have done a better job outlining the back story, but the story of Cortana’s timer ticking down is intense. The story also has some major twists.

I wouldn’t really say the story has any twists, at least none I can think of.

> Multiplayer is the best we’ve seen to date. Loadouts have been long overdue

Why are Loaouts long overdue? They really imbalance the game in the long run.

> ordinance is a great addition,

It is far too random though.

> and despite what are largely inaccurate criticisms, the sandbox is well balanced.

Why are they inaccurate? Speak for yourself please.

But why should they listen to a minority who only represent a small fraction of revenue sales?

> But why should they listen to a minority who only represent a small fraction of revenue sales?

Where’s the proof that we are a minority?

And even 49% is still a “minority”.

Even people who actually like and play the game have some issues with it.

343 proved they can make a good game. Sure it needs fixes, every game does. My beef is that they can’t make a Halo game.

I enjoy infinity slayer, but they definitely need a Slayer Pro playlist preferably for 4v4 and 8v8.
