Fortnite is garbage, and aims at children to use their mother’s credit card. Halo does not do that.

Dropped $10 bucks on credits today and I gotta say I am really liking how the Anubis set looks on my spartan.
Honestly, you should just save up for the larger batches, just because it’s more. But hey, you do you. I have to check out the Anubis, haven’t looked, just been playing.
we did get a game evolving from halo 5. This crap is the same.
um, what? yes it does actually. There is no blood. Everything is bright, everyone has a special outfit. The game IS designed for fortnite kids that use the credit card.

Then let’s keep our fingers crossed that the campaign holds us all over until they fix MP. Personally, I’m only playing to pass the time until the campaign comes out. Majority of my time will be spent playing the campaign, and once I’m satisfied, I’ll look more into MP. If MP doesn’t show signs of improvement, then I’ll just move onto different games. Only a few months until Elden. Just saying.

$25*52 weeks (hey 2552) = $1300/year. That is INSANE to drop that much money on a game. I’m not saying by any means that we should get everything for free, but
- the 500mil budget ALSO goes toward the campaign, which is being sold for $60 (or on gamepass which is raking in the dough by the assload) - I’d even argue predominantly (and by far)
- the battle pass should be the predominant way of unlocking items, and most would pay double for it if it had the content we want that’s now in the store. WAY more people will buy the BP because it’s a good deal, meaning they could double their BP profits which I’m sure outweighs most of the armor profits
- I don’t even think we should get all this crap for free. I think we should get SOME stuff for free as part of being a normal, achievement-based unlock system (which should NOT be on a timer) and, hell, I and MANY others would be elated to PAY for the option to unlock things that way (more money in a battlepass as stated before? Another battle pass? Sure). The problems are that
- To buy any one thing we want, we have to buy a bundle of things we may not (we can’t just buy it by itself)
- To buy any bundle, we have to buy credits which means we very well may need to overspend to get what we’re purchasing
- Scummy FOMO practices make it impossible to know if or when anything that we see in the store will EVER return, or what else is coming - so do we buy this because we like it, or do we hold out for something better to come along?
These all combined pressure players to spend more and more. But as if that isn’t enough, they ALSO have to gouge us on prices, making the cost even heftier. All four components need to go. Well, maybe not the credit system because while that’s annoying, it’s by far the least egregious of these shop problems.

I’m not sure if you are aware, but you don’t need to buy every item every week of the year lol. It’s not a recurring subscription. You see something you like, you can buy it. A few hundred dollars a year on some cool gear is nothing if you are putting many hours into the game.
