343 didn’t even make the damn armor in the game. Liquid Development made them.
Halo 4 doesn’t even run on a new engine that took years to make, it ran on a modified Reach engine, so 343 didn’t have to slave over and spend years making an engine.
What the hell did 343 with their Hundred Million of Dollar budget, and their 3 (4?) year development time?
Hey 343, since all you did was outsource the game to different companies, just outsource Halo 5 and Halo 6 to Bungie, so the games actually turn out decent.
You mean Certain Affinity, Digital, and Liquid did good jobs. All 343 apparently did was make the story, and design the terrible campaign levels and make overly repeated Spartan Ops missions. If that.

Im fairly certain the person you were quoting liked the engaging campaign levels and possibly the SO missions and the story as well.
I’ve seen a few rants on here, but dude… Calm down… Without 343, none of those guys could have done what they did. Also, I’m pretty sure you don’t even know where to begin any of the things any of those people did to make this game.
343 only has about 300 employees. I don’t think it’s fair to expect only 300 people to develop the Halo 4 we have right now by themselves in such limited time.

Certain Affinity is made up of ex-Bungie employees.
They were INVOLVED in the projects. They did not make them genius. And where is your precious source for that little modified reach engine comment. I already know that claim is complete BS.

I have no Idea how people are still trying to defend 343. The info in this thread truly saddened me=/

It would’ve been so much better if they never made Halo 4. They ruined what made Halo, Halo.
All 343 needed to do was make better graphics and build upon how successful Halo 3 was not how big of a failure Halo Reach was. Better maps, dedicated servers and introduction of new weapons was all they needed for the absolute perfect matchmaking. The game would’ve been so much better if they stuck with the classic Halo 3 style. Have the boltshot be a new and improved mauler, Incin cannon be a exclusive rocket to get control over(In the middle), Scattershot be a exclusive shotgun(Wherever), Binary be a exclusive sniper (In the middle). Make everything specifically spawn some where based off map.
It would’ve been amazing if everyone spawned with the same thing. For example, it’s a forerunner map, everyone spawns with a suppressor for regular and Light rifle for pro/ranked. Covenant, Carbine/Storm rifle. UNSC, BR/AR (DMR pick up).
Instead of map control, we get things based off luck, that’s limited.

I thought that was kind of common knowledge? Ask a 343 employee, they’ll come out in the open and say it

And hey guess what? Reach ran off a modified Halo 3 engine…which was a modified Halo 2 engine…which was a modified Halo: CE engine. And when they say, "modified’ they mean, “stripped down and rebuilt.” It’s in one of the vidocs even.

3-4 years and a blank check wasn’t enough to get past the beta stage? Wow. Please, tell me more about how this isn’t the result of amateur developers.

You guys will go to any lengths to degrade Halo 4 won’t you?
You’re post actually supports me because it shows how much of an upgrade the engine is from reach, check out the link I posted to see how it is a lot different from Reach’s engine.
343 repeatedly said that they will be using the same core engine since CE but rebuilding it, so on the outside it’s new, but on the inside, any dev. that worked on even CE will know how to use it. Accessibility, that is the main reason it is done this way.

What do you know about Betas? You honestly think Halo 4 is at its beta stage then you are deceiving yourself and intentionally exaggerating to try to prove something I don’t even know what.
You want to know what real betas look like? day Z, Battlefield 3, MINECRAFT. Games that are extremely buggy and unfinished. Those are betas.
Half 4 is not a beta. Oh and the fileshare works if you search by gamertag so that argument is out the window.
