No long explanation. I just think they’re doing a terrific job.
Halo 4, Huntthetruth, Halo Escalation and other new comics, MCC (despite some slight issues), new novels, Forward Unto Dawn, Halo Nightfall, TV series, Fall of Reach series, I could go on. Not to mention the INCREDIBLE new Halo 5 opening cutscene cinematic.
They’ve been expanding the universe with great care and detail. They’ve been adjusting and adapting to this decade in gaming and design (despite some protests from fans still living in 2001).
However, they haven’t gotten the plaudits they deserve.
I love what 343 has done with this game since bungie. They explanded the universe in all the ways we wanted it to. Short movies, a lot more books, toys, lego. Thank you 343.

Yeah i couldnt agree more. I’m very excited about the multiplayer but im even more excited for forge. I just cant keep it together any more lol. I cant wait lol
The only thing I do not agree with is the way you describe MCC’s launch state. It was bigger than a “slight” issue. That being said, I’m also impressed how much 343i seems to care about the franchise.
On some parts I agree, on others I do not. Personal opinions
FuD was somewhat engaging.
Halo 4 was not commendable.
Escalation is sometimes good
Nightfall was so-so.
Can’t comment on TV-series as we haven’t heard anything about it.
FoR will hopefully be awesome.
MCC was a disappointment due to the many problems at launch. The CGI Halo 2 cutscenes were awesome though.
Other books than the forerunner saga or other comics thab escalation, I can’t comment on as I haven’t had the time to order/borrow any of them to read.
I’m far more looking forward to HW2 than I am for Halo 5, not to say that I’m not looking forward to it, but i343’s track record hasn’t made me that positive about what they put out. Can’t deny that 343 aren’t working hard to expand on Halo though.
Oh, and despite this being a thread geared more to the positive, really thank you for that insult to anyone who do not agree with the general direction Halo is currently taking, or anyone who do not agree that Halo somehow needed adjustments/adaption to fit into this era of gamning. Whatever that is supposed to mean. We who do that should really buy new calendars, right? /s
I think they’re finally starting to make Halo their own, and get to grips with what makes halo, halo, if that makes sense haha. Returning to the roots in all the right places but also going full creative throttle on the lore - I was worried and disgruntled after H4 but they really have listened.
In all seriousness I would give them an 8/10 in my book. I feel they should have tackled MCC in house instead of outsourcing, and while I couldn’t give two -Yoink- about splitscreen in MP, I do hope they can do something about it in customs for people.
