343i and Halo 4.....

I was googling random things to see what popped up, I clicked on the Halo.Xbox link and read through the comments… Someone said…

“Most of the 343 guys look like they havnt slept for a while. Maybe they are really behind schedule.”

(This was 8 months ago!)

This man predicted Halo 4 was behind schedule… 8 months ago! He was right…

If they were behind 8 months ago, how could they have been behind when they “went gold”? In my line of work, if you’re behind schedule, you either speed up or stay late… Or both.

In my honest opinion, they should have been given another 3-5 months… But that wouldn’t have worked business wise… November/December Made/Will make most of their sales… And if they waited until next year, it would have been too late because of the new Xbox.

So basically, this was an unwanted game that was suppose to be on the next Xbox… But someone decided it was a great idea to maybe port? it to the 360… This game was obviously almost finished… but it lacked a lot of features…

Custom Game options and lack of working file share being the main examples… What if Halo 4 was suppose to be the launch title of the new Xbox? Can you imagine how great it would have been?

However, because of this(Halo 4), I will NOT be buying the new Xbox. I bought the Original Xbox because of Halo… And the Xbox 360 because of Halo 3. Not spending more money on another Console(I have the Original Xbox 360 and an Xbox 360 Slim 320 GB… Along with over 136 games)… Just for one game. Good thing we have Youtube.

PC Gaming will be supported by me once again.

Thank you for (Hopefully) reading my Wall.

Puts Flame suit on.

I have a feeling it’s about to get… Puts Glasses on over Flame Suit Spicy.

Lol.

agreed, hopefully they fix it otherwise, you can expect 60$ less in your Halo 5 revenue.

I put this on Microsoft. I’m guessing they wanted 343 to churn out a new Halo game in 2 years, using people who haven’t done that on such a large scale before. Not saying the staff at 343 are incompetent, not by any means (I love H4 honestly), just that they might not have been fully prepared for the task.

I’m guessing that if 343 could have had an extra 5 months to work on the game, they would have taken it in a heartbeat. Yes, there are bugs, but I haven’t come across anything truly game breaking.

I think MS wanted to release in September, but 343 said that they weren’t going to be able to make that and have it running well enough, so MS pushed it back. Once they gave the release date, there was no turning back…at least in Microsoft’s mind. They set the date, and it was up to 343 to do the best they could to get the game out and working properly.

They succeeded. Set your nostalgic opinions about what “Halo is” for a second, and you will see that this is true.

Yes there are issues, no they aren’t terrible, no the game isn’t broken, and yes…they WILL address the issues. They might not cater to your every whim, but they don’t have to. They are the ones making the game, not you.

And by “you” I mean the outspoken minority of the community, not you specifically OP, haha.
