I’ve really tried to like matchmaking. unfortunately, 343i is advocating unfair gameplay. It’s unbelievable that people can send invites to members of the other team while sitting in the MM lobby to get them to join thier team. if they accept the invite the teams will be unbalanced. I went into a game that was 7v3. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! It’s favoring unfair gameplay.
And to top it off, the next game we entered into lasted 15 seconds. DEFEAT. Who in thier right mind thinks this is FUN! OR FAIR!!
I am so dissatisfied with this version of HALO. Now today we have even a SMALLER playlist and SOPs won’t be back til January 23rd?? how can 343i take vacay when this game is so messed up.
And for all you idiots that enter into Oddball & KOTH for kills, C’mon man go play slayer or can’t you cut it wen people are shooting back at you. Then again KOTH is gone as of today. And WOW! how does this work 1 person playing TEAM Snipers. Theres a popular playlist.
I very much doubt people have time to invite and accept invites in between games. What happens is if enough people are there at the end of one game it will set the teams and start the map voting process right away.
This can happen before the XP count-up screen has finished (never mind if you hit a rank and get shown new unlocks as well). So people who are intending to leave after the game finishes watch their XP count up, then leave right away, but the map selection is taking place so the teams are already set.
Only once the map is chosen does it reveal who is on what team, so you can often end up with 3, 2, 1 or 0 people on the other team. It doesn’t mean the people that left did anything wrong or malicious. It’s a result of the way they move from 1 game to the next so quickly, without allowing for players to come and go because they have Join-In-Progress so who cares if a team starts short-handed they assume.
surely you can’t be serious. It’s happening. It happened to me and the team I was on. It’s happened several times. You are sorely mistaken when you say “I DOUBT”. You have no idea until it happens to YOU. You’ll remember this conversation. It even shows up while in the lobby wen the teams have been decided. They switch and change color right in front of you. So don’t belittle me. MM is flawed. This game is a FLAW! WOW! man WAKE UP.

An easy fix to this would be that the loser gets no xp, while the winner gets all the xp.
Additionally the winner could get more XP if the game is won fast and with a big score difference.
Thus Winning fast and big would lead to great XP income.
A win between two equal teams should also give a lot of xp, so perhaps 2000 for a win and then additional XP for time and score difference? Up for debate what would be the best though.
Im not sure not EXP for loosers fix it…
