You don’t get any kudos from me until you prove you can do your job right.
I urge all of you to do the same.
Companies/employees don’t deserve kudos, tips, or any sort of positive reinforcement for releasing a sub-par product or doing an overall bad job.
EXAMPLES:
You don’t tip the pizza delivery guy when he’s 30 minutes late. Why? Because he didn’t do his job well.
So why tell 343 they’re doing a good job? Or why would you tell 343 it’s “not their fault” that this game is buggy and broken? You’re just excusing their bad behavior and reinforcing the notion in their brains that they can do a bad job again next time and receive no consequences for it.
I honestly hope there are 343/-Yoink!- employees who have lost, or will lose, their jobs over this inexcusable release. Not because I actually want bad things to happen to people, but because that’s how businesses/the market ought to work.
Would you rather them keep talking to us about their problems or have everyone fix these problems and then tell us when the update is? I vote the later.
I’d rather them do their job well, and to not have these problems to begin with. So I guess I’d rather them do both of those things. Since I dunno, both of those things are their job?

Why cant they do both? They can and should do both.

They have an entire team dedicated to community management. They would be doing damage control while the team works until the problem is fixed. So both.

Right and they have already told us they know the issue, so let them fix it, they gave themselves till the end of this week, read the forums.
I also vote for someone to lose their job over this. Their needs to be some sort of quality control before a release of this size. The fact that there’s so many problems means either that 343 doesn’t know what their doing or they just don’t care to properly test their products before release. I can’t tell which one is worst but things needs to change over at 343.
