Again - going from 1-0 up in BTB CTF by working as a team, for the enemy to get a scorpion and a wasp to our warthogs and surprise surprise we lose 1-3…:
It’s stuff like this that makes people just not play anymore. So much about Halo Infinite’s design is just broken and people are getting fed up with the lack of fixes. (Especially with something like this that they claimed they fixed.)
At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I completely agree.
I already said this multiple times: the Pelican Drops should be removed from the game and the code for this “feature” should placed in a folder labeled “BAD IDEAS NEVER TO BE USED AGAIN” and shown to any new developer as an example of horrid design.
To be fair, they fix it back at the beginning of Season 2. Then they noticed that, unsurprisingly, the community hated basically every fix they made for Season 2 (as it was just removing features) and reverted six months of useless work back to Season 1 status (including the only fix that was well received).
In a lot of BTB maps the weapon spawns are still asymmetrical.
I.e., BR/Commando not being on equal locations at each base, as well as shock rifle spawns (sometimes one side just doesn’t have one, other times it’s not at one team’s base, but rather in the middle of the map). The Stalker rifle is not an equal trade to the Shock rifle by a long shot. Even equipment spawns are in unequal locations on a lot of btb maps (Highpower’s grappleshot spawn locations are a good example of this). -All of this is a great example of how not to do fair starts
it would be cooler if on fragmentation, you fight for control of that room in the middle of the map and whoever wins, gets a pelicon drop on their side of the map AND their loot cave to open. Currently the pelicon drops and the loot caves feel redundant in how they’re implemented.
I agree here. I can imagine that they don’t want every vehicle to spawn at the base, but that you might need some risk for some vehicles that might be a bit more out in the open. But i then rather see vehicles like that spawn a bit like how it was with Dominion in H4, where a vehicle can only be picked up by the team who it’s for. So lets say a tank spanw not in/behind the base, but in front of it (ofcourse both teams with this at their base), but the tank can then only be picked up by that team. Once picked up, the enemy can ofcourse board them/destroy them or once picked up and abandon, the enemy can take it over.
Got to love when the spawns keep getting flipped in BTB, enemy is wrecking your base with a wasp spawns flip & the get other wasp then a third gets dropped & they get that too.
Or
The new BTB map where every base has S7, shock rifle, disruptor pistol, shock nades, hydra & stalker rifle.
Only two predictable routes for vehicles that instantly get electrocuted, then the game starts dropping sniper rifles from the sky so everyone just’s gives up & camps.
But hey giving some BTB games Br starts would be so unbalanced right?
It’s like 343 never played BTB before, nor play tested this.
Nobody has done this before. First person arena shooters are a new concept ![]()
