This is why, I made a topic on here about why the Banshee was removed from Breakneck. the same thread on the Halo Reach forums I made to get Bnets opinion. Everyone replying was agreeing on the fact that the Banshee shouldn’t have been removed. You play the same game as us, you should know Headlong/Breakneck is one of the hardest maps to fly the Banshee on, the Reach forums know this. Everyone who played Halo 2 knows this. Everyone who plays Reach should know or already should know if they don’t that the Banshee is the weakest vehicle in the game in terms of damage resistance. It’s Fuel Rod however is the strongest weapon besides the Scorpions cannon.
Even though the matchmaking forums got taken down for the move to 343, we still exist. There are players on the Reach forums that are veterans and know what need to be fixed, removed added etc. No one on the Reach forums complained about the Banshee on Breakneck. I don’t know where this “removing the Banshee from Breakneck” came from. But I forget, there are casuals that complain about a vehicle and you cater to them, which is the same mistake Bungie made.
This months update is literally a pile of crap, and as much as a Halo fanatic as I am, I’d never thought I’d say that. Removing the Banshee from Breakneck was a mistake. Removing Swordbase from Infection was a mistake because people didn’t like the humans camping in the red lift? We still tend to kill them one way or another.
So in closing I really hope Halo 4’s matchmaking isn’t anything like Reach’s or isn’t casual friendly. If it is, I’m sorry but this franchise died with Reach.
You shouldn’t listen to just your forum 343, the Reach forums are still there on Bnet and people who know how this game needs to be are still on there.
I don’t want this to be taken the wrong way, but bungie.net is not the be-all, know-all forum about Halo. Everytime I went to bungie.net I saw consistent repeat threads, constant flaming, constant complaining, and more topics about stuff that just doesn’t make sense. Everyone who is a member on waypoint has the opportunity to have their threads and ideas taken seriously. That’s why I left bungie.net so long ago Waypoint seems to take Halo very seriously and we strive to make this forum and community a place to call home. Waypoint is the main place to discuss Halo now. I can’t see bungie.net keeping its Halo community much past summer maybe. Many will eventually migrate here. It just takes time.

It’s not lame to be nice to people and help people out. This is a friendly environment that I am glad was started. I will take some time to adjust, but you will get used to it eventually.
Why? Because they can actually call people out for being stupid or unskilled? And the mods there are not as biased and/or strict? It makes me laugh how this is a forum for an M rated game but we are not allowed to use the other players skill in an argument.

you can use skill in an argument as long as it’s relative and not an actual persons skilll because, saying a persons argument is invalid because he “sucks” is just moronic form of attack and trolling.
oh, the mods at b.net are just as strict as they are here, it’s jut that they never really check the game sections.

The thing about calling people out is that it leads to flaming and ridiculous arguments. This forum may be for an M rated game, but the conversations must be conducted in an adult manner.

All of that happens here as well.
Except for the flaming part to some degree. We are not allowed to throw even the most harmless of insults at each other without getting a ban or warning. The censorship is ridiculous for a site made around M rated games.
I told someone to, and I quote, “Go away.” and got edited. Really?
On Bungie you could at least call people out for what they are to a mild degree. Here they try to add some facade of puppies an sunshine by editing everything. again, I believe its ridiculous. Bungie had mods and a filter as well, and they worked pretty well.

Bungie’s mods are awesome. I love it when they play along.

Please read the post I made while you posted that^
But I would also like to add an example.
Lets say person A and person B are arguing. I will refer to them as A and B from now on.
A says that bloom is a good mechanic. He says that without bloom, anyone can use the DMR with ease. Zero bloom makes it to easy to use the DMR, even a child could do it.
B reads that and says that if it is so easy to use, then why does A have a negative K/D with the DMR in the Zero Bloom playlist?
He proved him wrong by using his stats. It isn’t easy to DMR with Zero Bloom, or he would be doing it just as well.

No, I will not get used to it because I hate it here. I will be with b.net till it dies out completely.

I have noticed this as well. I think it’s an attempt to keep a good evironment. Bungie.net has gotten very bad. I’m not sure if you would agree. Every post I have seen results in name calling, stat flaming, and just plain immature behavior. I experience that a little bit here, but not on a massive scale.

If that’s your opinion, that’s fine, but if you hate it here, why are you posting here?

I still rather be at the b.net forums than these “kiddy” forums
This is my last post on this site and I would like to say that it was limited to remove the banshee from breakneck it wasn’t OP there are two snipers, a grenade launcher, rockets, and don’t forget you spawn with a DMR, lots of cover. Plus the banshee can’t do as many flips like in other maps because of the buildings and barriers.
Edited by a moderator. Please do not bypass the profanity filter.
The flow of information from current customers on this site alone is enough to keep the MM team reading for a year. Sifting through Bnet currently might be helpful if there could be a LOL(<insert whatever your subject is) filter.
Frankly the holdouts will be here soon and like yourself are starting to realize that if they want any input into the future of Halo, its to be had here =/
One thing I defiantly agree with is removing sword base from LD was disappointing as it was very popular. Welcome to Waypoint =)
The intelligent users left long ago for many reasons including but not restricted to:
A) Bungie are no longer in control of the Halo universe
B) The Bnet forums there are infested with griefers who are only interested in bad mechanics to exploit like the Banshee when clearly the vast majority are against them.
