Dear 343 Industries,
I know or at least I dearly hope you’ve heard this before, but Halo 5 throws a lot of potential in the dirt. I’m sorry to say it so rough, but it does. With Halo 5 you created an amazing game when it comes to the gameplay itself. Spartan abilities are great and they add a very very nice touch to the gameplay. It’s fast, it’s fun and it’s deep enough to create amazing jumps, slides etc. So good job here, I’m really enjoying it.
But the problem of Halo 5 is it’s lack of gamemodes. I mean the release was about 5 month ago and we still don’t have infection, king of the hill, juggernaut, race and many other classic gamemodes that has always been there in one way or the other. Furthermore we can’t really create gamemodes for ourselves. In the past Halo games and Halo Reach was the one which did it best we had so many options to customize our own gamemodes. I mean we not only want CTF you know, we want One-Flag Mongoose CTF and modes like that as well. We want to be able to customize our modes like we could in Halo Reach and for that we need much more options and much more gamemodes.
Another point is that you added social playlists into arena and that is very nice, but let’s assume one thing. I haven’t played Halo for a week or two and don’t want to start with competitive arena again, because I don’t wanna screw up my rank. So I wanna play a few matches first to get into the game again. Which options do I have? Big Team Battle… I love it, but it does not prepare me for 4v4 arena. So what else do I get? grifball ( btw only on one court so far ) and fiesta? Both fun, but also not really the thing to prepare for arena. Also imagine I don’t wanna play competitive, but I also don’t wanna play fun modes or BTB all the time. What should I do?
We need constant social playlists like social slayer, social objective and also more playlists in general. I mean we have a constant swat playlist, but no constant team doubles playlist?
Come on 343 give us more playlists, gamemodes and more options for the game modes we already have.
Please don’t drag a great game like Halo 5 down, because you want players to focus on Warzone and REQs. Warzone is fun and the REQ System is fun too, but you will lose fans over time because they get bored if you don’t add more variety

They can’t overstuff it but we need at least 10-15 playlists plus a rotating weekly social playlist.
They did confirm infection so just be patient on that, we know we are getting wz firefight another game mode, they did confirm more grifball courts, granted a few game modes aren’t going to satisfy a lot of people, its better than them doing literally nothing,

It’s not even about Infection. It’s more about announcing 5 game modes and making 3 of them only available in Customs.
They have game modes available right now but for some reason they decide to make them only available for the weekend or on a weekly basis. That’ not good for a game where people are asking for more game modes.
And I don’t believe the population excuse because this was an issue not o long after the game launched, when the population was supposedly bigger as the game was more popular and higher up on the XBL list.
It’s almost like they just don’t want to do it. How much harm would an Action Sack Objectives play list, with Oddball, Fiesta, Regicide and Assault, and heck even StrongHolds and CTF do? But instead we keep hearing “Coming Soon”.
The only thing at this point that is really missing is Action Sack. REALLY NEED ACTION SACK!
Halo 5’s population might not survive adding too many playlists. However, once infection comes out it should be made permanent like Grifball instead of rotational.
Once they add infection they need to add a FFA option to Oddball/Sportball (unless I just missed it) because I cant see a FFA option for Sportball to make classic Oddball.
People, game modes and playlists are 2 very different things. So many people think that they are the same thing.
Game Modes: Slayer, Capture the Flag, Strongholds, Infection, King of the Hill, Race
Playlists: Slayer (Arena), Social Fiesta (Arena), Warzone, Warzone Assault, Team Snipers (Arena), Team Doubles (Arena)
If we keep on mixing up the terms, then our messages to 343 won’t make any sense.
