I am quite shocked that for the second time you left us in the dust. I put in my time and got to the last rank in Reach hoping, that Halo 4 will bring back the community that was lost. After hearing some of this news, I among many others I’m sure will boycott Halo 4. Once you completely take the competetive aspect away, you can guarantee the populations will vastly decrease and will be as big of an upset as Ninja Gaiden 3. I have put hundreds of hours into all of the halo games and to bring back aa’s and have random weapon spawns is the biggest shock I have ever seen. If you are as appauled as I am by this decision feel free to comment.
I don’t understand why there is so much complaining. none of us have played the game don’t be so afraid of change if you want to play old games go play old games. I for one am stoked to play Halo 4 and I am excited about the changes.
If 343 didn’t want to make a Halo game, then why were they not allowed to make a new IP? Everything in that article not only has no trace of Halo in it as far as MP goes, but WTF…
As a die-hard fan of the Halo experience I feel like I just found out my wife is leaving me. This is a sad day.
Since Halo is dead, can we please get a title update for Halo 2 (and online play) or Halo 3?

Ok firstly, the number one issue is random power weapon spawns. Have you never played a halo game before in your entire life. You know what don’t you tell me not to be afraid of change. They said they exact same thing about Reach and look how that went. You might be excited but the majority are not excited even mlg pros.
With the info in the GI article I can honestly say to all anti-Halo, COD loving, Battlefield playing, derpy, casual, gamers that…you win. You win. I wave the white flag in defeat.
Halo is dead and we are in a new era where Halo is now just another class-based game. I’m sure it will still be way better than BF or COD. But the experience that made it leaps and bounds better than any other game, regardless of platform and genre, is dead.
All of the changes described in this new Infinity mode are the exact opposite of what I enjoy in Halo. Having sprint standard, join in progress, random power weapon times/locations, and instant respawn are all negative things for the way I enjoy playing Halo.
If there isn’t a very good selection of alternative offerings I’ll probably sell my copy of Halo 4 within the first week.

Well, some of us have been playing for a long time. Even up to 10 years for some of us. About 8.5 years for me. I think that after being huge into Halo for that long, we can make logical conjectures as to how a certain gameplay aspect will affect the game.
This is exactly what everyone told us about Reach. “You guys can’t complain because you’ve never played the game! You don’t know how they work together!” And guess what? Everything we complained about made Reach a mediocre game. Halo 1,2 and 3 are infinitely better than Reach because they ignored our requests.
