You guys have failed every single halo competitive players out there, you guys promised us level 1-50 and we get it on halowaypoint ? lame. You guys give us these playlists that include the CSR and you can make a party of 6 with guests to do a 6 player FFA ? lame. -Yoink!- mobile tournaments where winners are the ones who played the most games ? (and I cant even participate because of where I live) lame. MLG dropped halo 4 from the circuit, LAME. The DMR is better than the BR in close combat, LAME. Ordnances are based on luck ? lame. You get matched against teams of 4-5, 90% of the time when you play alone ? lame.

Other than that, the gameplay is awesome, the BR is back, there no bloom, it actually feels like Halo 2/3. If I cant play Oddball or Capture the flag with a full team or play custom games, I dont play at all, because all the playlists are unbalanced, lame and full of tryhards. Bring back socials and ranked playlists and do them right !

I dont think that the true skill rank needs to be shown in the game. Its fine on Waypoint

Your FFA complaint is justified

The -Yoink!- contest issue isnt 343 fault thats something else

I find the rest you list are things that you can get over. I best DMR users all the time with the BR. I dont get you Ordnance problem.

-Ordances are luck based and have no place in any competitive playlist, imo, thats why they wont be included in any mlg gametype ever, unless they are not random. I wouldnt mind them in social playlists at all, but since all playlists are ranked and competitive, they dont belong here.

-alright, its not the end of the world that CSR is not ingame, but still lame.

-I also best DMR users all the time, I use the BR because I love the gun, but if you take two really good players together that almost never missed their shots, the DMR is better than the BR in close combat, and much much better in long range combat. I think the only way the BR can be better than the DMR in close combat is with perfect use of the grenades, mixed with the explosives perk.

-Its probably my country fault for refusing online tournaments or something like that, or microsoft fault for making a contract with -Yoink!- mobile, this is true. But I bet its not -Yoink!- mobile who decided that the winners will be the players who played 24/7 since the tournament started.

Why is it lame the DMR is better than the BR? That’s dumb. In Halo 2, they made the BR better than the Pistol, but people got over it.

Just because the ranking system is subpar, you don’t have to make a childish rant about everything that bursts your buttons.

they should be equal at least, a ton of players agree that the DMR is overpowered and 343 said that the BR would be better in close range and the DMR better in long range, this is what they are meant to be, but they are not.

Competitive is supposed to be competitive, the fact that everyone can boost extremely easily in a ranked, competitive playlist is a childish rant ? seriously ? the fact that when you team up with 4 other good friends you just destroy everyone that play solo or with a small team in, again, a ranked, competitive playlist is a childish rant ? for god sake, you can even backup whenever you want as long as you dont vote, even after seeing the whole other team players stats, you can backup and queu again, this isnt lame ? its childish rant to ask that something ranked and competitive is fair and actually competitive ?

It’s childish because you make a complaint then go “Lame.” Complaint… “Lame.” etc. That’s childish.

Also why is the DMR “overpowered”? The DMR isn’t overpowered. It’s perfect. It’s just like the BR from Halo 2. It’s a good Medium to long range rifle, which allows people stuck back in a base/corner to break out. It also doesn’t allow people to simply walk straight down the middle of a map.

It punishes people who don’t use strategy/creativity to get from Point A to Point B.

Additionally, you can back out after seeing some stats of the other team? Who cares? It’s not ranked anyway. Just enjoy the game. I considered myself a good player, but people don’t repeatedly back out because they see my stats.

imo, the DMR ruin big team battle in ragnarok, a gametype that I used to love in halo 3, because it is too good, it kills people in seconds and it shoot from extremely far, making the game a big face off of camping people praying that they will get snipers from they ordnance.

I just think its lame that the DMR is better because I prefer the BR, but the thing is, its not only a matter of MY opinion, its because 343 said themselves that the BR is better in close range and the DMR is better in long range, anyway, I dont really care, its probably the thing from all the things in my list that I care the less about tbh.

Well, it is ranked and people sure play like it is, in every playlist, people have hidden levels, that will become public to everyone once they put it on waypoint, unless they decide to reset them, but it wont matter at all unless they fix most of the things I listed. I wouldnt mind if all of my complaints we’re in a social playlist.

So, unless 343 officialy announce that Halo is no longer a competitive game but a big social mess, I wont stop complaining about having competitive stuff, fair for everyone.

The way I made this thread may sounds like im mad, I am not, just tired of seeing all my posts and threads fall into oblivion and 343 doing nothing, especially not giving us any update or posting in any threads.

Well, I have to say, that response was much better.

I understand your gripe. I worked for MLG for 2.5 years as a referee, and I’ve seen Halo go down hill since Halo 2. However Halo 4 is without doubt FAR better than H3 and Halo Reach.

I don’t understand why 343 fears a Ranked playlist. Who cares if more cheaters will exist? Halo 2 had SO many cheaters. It was still really fun.

I just disagree with everyone who has the sentiment that because one weapon is universally good (The DMR), the game is therefore horrible. I think it’s much better to have a strong starting weapon that can shoot across the map. It allows people trapped in their base to break out much easier. Additionally Halo 1 and Halo 2 had strong starting weapons with the Pistol and the BR… and those were excellent games.

I think people just need to give the game a chance instead of yelling at 343 every chance they can.

Well I totally agree with all your points here.

Halo 4 gameplay is much better than all halo’s since halo 2, by far. And I say gameplay because halo 4 have the worst matchmaking ever, even halo reach did much better, but the matchmaking and playlists are the easiest thing to fix, compared to the actual gameplay, thats why I think its worth giving a try complaining on the forums lol.

I’m not sure if they are scared of cheaters or because they dont want to split the population in half or maybe they will but they are not ready or something, but they seem to want all playlists to be ranked though, another thing that I dont like, the lack of posts from 343 industries, they dont tell us much about whats going on with the game, if you guys dont want to fix this or this, at least tell us something so we can move on.

They could remove the BR and the DMR and put pistols that can aim and shoot long range instead and I wouldnt mind, I will adapt, but ofc I prefer the BR and was really disapointed when they brought back the DMR as well, the gun that I hated the most of all halos because of the Halo Reach bloom, especially when they said the BR will be better in close range.
