The GAME is rated Mature for HAVING Mature Content. Not allowing whatever content you want to put in for your username.
Not only that, Microsoft plays a nice big part in the censoring process as well. If anything, you should’ve read your Halo/Bungie/343/Microsoft Terms of Agreement and then you would’ve realized once you pay for something, it’s their money now.

M is for the game itself. However, things in the gamer profile can violate CoC regardless. The Gamer-tag, the profile, etc…they can all violate regardless. While I would Not agree that “Hell” is offensive UNLESS your GT stated: go to it or something similar. At the same time I have seen people with things in their gamer-tags that are MUCH worse, yet nothing is done about them.
nope its not mc because under my old game tag i could post stuff in anything, like forza 4 i could post stuff, but since 343 took over i could no long post anything in halo reach. or 3 for that matter, and as for the user agreement bs i read about because I’m sure no one has ever read it, and i did read the thing. i look and look but no where could i see “can’t use bad words for a gamer tag.” and i will say it again, its a m game for a mature audience, which means 17 and up and not 14 and up, but 17 and up. so if i want to post a “bad” word to say “hi this game was bad -Yoink- game i just had” but because it has -Yoink- in the title i can’t post it, and anything that has the word “rape” and even tho its just part of a word lets say “grapeshot” i can’t post it up because it had the word rape in the title. 343 your trying to censor a game mean for people 17 and up . why?

It’s b/c of the wide diverse stretching of Halo into many mediums - Websites, cartoons/animations. The Game is rated Mature but the initial franchise is for everyone and let’s face it, Halo is MUCH bigger than Forza.
And regardless, as said, this is 343/Microsofts set of Rules. Most everyone else is aware of the stipulations and consequences. Nobody is a “Special Case with Privileges Over Others”. It’s like everything else where they lay out a bunch of rules, most people decide NOT to read them and then wonder why they feel they’re being slighted against.
