100% Axe the Rotation and make it a Catalogue page to buy Items with the Spartan points you earned especially when the Rotation never had anything interesting beforehand
Will make it better for players to access and removes the FOMO feel to the Exchange
Seriously if 343 wants to make the Halo community fairly happy, just axe the fomo aspect of MCC and ensure MTX never infect the MCC. Those are the 2 big things that SHOULDN’T be in the game.
I think more people need to be critical of The Exchange as it stands. It was supposed to just be a way to pick up missed challenge items on rotation.
Now, they’re using it as the primary delivery system of content despite having better methods (Seasonal Battle Passes) in the game. They’ve just arbitrarily stopped those with the belief that FOMO will increase engagement (and also profits long-term, as it seems they are intent on MTX). There definitely are enough items for a “Series 9” Pass too.
What I also will say is its going to be increasingly difficult to communicate anything to 343i now as Infinite takes center stage (after the updated roadmap). So, I don’t know how successful we could be as a community for MCC now
The goal is to have a reason for players to log into the game every couple days when new content drops in the exchange id wager
You gotta remember the MCC Team is separate from the Infinite team. They’ll hear us if we yell loud enough.
Well, I just mean that if you look at any place where the Halo community is providing feedback, overwhelmingly it is centered around Halo Infinite. Especially on Reddit (which is the place I think they take into account the most?) On Waypoint here, the activity is mainly around Infinite too etc.
Not saying it’s impossible, just more difficult to actually get things noticed atm
i think i would be okay with it if they weren’t so expensive. these first two “Waves” are 10 points to complete, that means that i would have to complete some of the PVE and PVP challenges every week. and i would rather only play PVE cause its more casual and then i’m not forced to play a Halo game i don’t want to. TLDR: i wish every week only costed 6 points so wouldn’t have to play multiplayer.
I’d settle for 8 honestly, but once that next update comes and we get drowned in level up points the exchange will be a non-issue for a little bit. However I agree these point prices are a bit much for people who don’t want to deal with PvE.
