343 You failed at H4 and then HORRIBLY at MCC

H4 was a failure, yea the campaign was ok but as soon as you guys picked up the halo franchise the population dwindled and then you introduce MCC and then failed miserably, MCC is so awful you should all be lined up and smacked by every person who wasted 60$ on your a$s’s. Playing today and no ranks, everyone quits, and you play vs scrubs every game. Its no fun.

Halo 4 was great. Excellent campaign and the tightest gameplay of the series by far.

Multiplayer is the tightest of the series as well, the gunplay is spot on. Vehicles are excellent. The games BTB is the my favorite of the series.

Halo 4 is still played online and has what many including myself think is the best BTB.

The game also sold 10 million copies.

By no definition was the game a failure.

The launch of the MCC has been a massive failure though. I’m hanging in there, hope it’s fixed one day.

I am glad you enjoyed Halo 4 but I think a lot of people did not, as evidenced by the meteoric drop in MP population. BTB players seem to like it a lot though. I think BTB players tend to be more casual and more forgiving of things that make the game uneven like loadouts and random weapon drops. The imba back-pocket shotgun also doesn’t play as large a part as encounters in BTB tend to be stretched out.

The game certainly wasnt a failure as it had my favorite campaign and did sell 10 million copies. But that wont sustain the franchise if half of those 10 million didnt like it and wont buy the next one.

Halo 4 functioned fine right out of the box, so im not worried that Halo 5 will have the technical issues that MCC does. Its inappropriate to compare the two as the development for both was apples to oranges. As far as network performance and reliability is concerned, Halo 4 is a better indicator of what Halo 5 will be like which is to say, great.

From what I understand, the population dwindled when Halo:Reach came out. The community didn’t like the idea of load outs, sprint, etc. Also, lets not forget that Reach was Bungie’s last game… makes you wonder why the split off from MS.
