I enjoyed the campaign, the graphics were good and the story was involved. That being said; multiplayer is what made Halo the franchise it is today. As my drill instructor used to say; “That ain’t it.” The multiplayer feels heavy and slow, they don’t have enough maps, and they reduced the number of game types. They are also the quickest at rolling out new content for you to purchase at a price of course. It just doesn’t feel like good old Halo. I have been playing Halo games for over a decade and this is the worst game yet. If Bungie is done then I am done. I will be pirating the campaigns and playing COD multiplayers in the future.
One thing that I must disagree with is the multiplayer being slow. From my experience, gameplay is faster paced than Halo 3.
I do agree that the online content to be released seems more like an assembly line rather than a mysterious future like it has in previous Halo titles. One thing that really ticked me off is that the next three multiplayer maps have already had their designs planned! Very disappointing in my opinion.

I find this funny because half of the complaint threads says halo 4 is too fast and yet this one says it’s too slow. More gametypes are on the way. When I first seen halo 4 MP it didn’t look like Halo but after watching more and actually playing it, it’s just like halo 3 with AA’s which are alot like equipment, sprint and loadouts. Some of the things you brought up are kinda_______ have you ever played halo ce-3?
As I’ve said before, Halo was once known for being that shooter that wasn’t like all of the others out there. There weren’t loadouts. The vehicles were tough, and the high level players tougher.
This game, as much as I want to love it. As much as I can say “Meh, it’s okay” is still just a bad direction for the FPS genre as a whole. Halo SHOULD NOT be homogenizing the genre. Halo: CE is credited with holding the Xbox afloat, and made a case that console FPS was a good investment.
I’d hate to see the FPS genre go the way of the MMO one. Copying the financial giant in hopes they can steal some players.
