Well, I’d rather have that then almost constant disconnects which I now get ever since the Monitors Bounty update, which has left this game to be unplayable more less for me now (and a few others I know)
I have stopped playing now. I only try to play a few games of social now to see if I’m still being disconnected, then uploading the videos I take to the support forums in hopes something gets fixed (not counting on it though 
)
Unfortunately the way things are for me now, my halo 5 playing days are done

Have you tried fixing it on your end? Hard resets? Uninstall and then reinstall?

Honestly I the only Reqs I care for are the 2017 helmets and the possibility of the Brute Shot, besides I don’t “buy” reqs, I do it the Halo way, not the -Yoink!- way.

You realize that technically using RP to get packs is still purchasing them, right?

I thought you were referring to using real money to buy them.
It doesn’t happen to me as much, but it still happens. Skesevench plz.

According to the patch notes:
“Improved melee strike registration reliability (“ghost melee”)”.
The registration has been improved, but it doesn’t sound like they’ve been able to fully fix it.

Don’t know if I’m late to the party but what’s a ghost melee lol? Is it when your pummels don’t register? If so I guess I’m lucky I’ve never experienced this bug yet

I have tried “fixing” it on my end. I’ve tried 6 different networking cables, tried different ports, contacted Microsoft support, redid all my router information, contacted my ISP twice, done hard resets and so on… It’s very depressing I ONLY get disconnected with Halo 5 now (as I said I didn’t used too) and I’m hardwired… oddly enough, in all my tinkering with things, I have found when i’m WIRELESS i’m not getting disconnected…which makes no sense at all lol The only thing that has changed on my end from before the monitors bounty update is I now have an xbox one s. Maybe halo 5 and xbox one s don’t like each other when hardwire…

That sucks. I would try an uninstall and reinstall again. Make sure not to do anything with the Xbox while it does it. Set it up before going to sleep or something. But sounds like you have done everything you can do.

I used to get them all the time cause I’m close combat a lot in Strongholds. It’s when your melee and your guy lunges forward but does not connect and your in the melee position something like CoDs MW2 commando lunge and the enemy has a huge advantage on you. I keep my sensitivity at 5/3 so there has been times someone got a ghost melee on me and I had enough time to thrust forward and turn to melee their back instant kill

Dang Dead End 24!!! This has happened so many times on my end. I thought it was my ISP. I called Time Warner (now Spectrum) and complained about my service. But they claim everything on their end is working fine.
I don’t know why 343 can’t fix all of these bugs.
