Now I could be wrong and I’m not looking hard enough, but I noticed that there’s no PC edition of halo 4…
Why did they stop releasing halo games on PC after 2? They were all great ports and were much easier to update with fixes compared to Xbox live…
I played halo CE and 2 to death on PC, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another halo if it was released on PC…
I can’t think of anything wrong with this, it would attract a wider fan base, and be able to give developers all the hardware capacity they need and provide MUCH more frequent updates for halo down the line…
So…343… If there is anything you can do for your fans, why not release halo 4 on PC,even ifthat’s not possible, have the next gen halo be released on PC along with xbox1
You have a chance to appeal to a much wider audience, and without a limit on hardware and updates, so why not give move halo in an older, more familiar direction…

Why should 343i continue beating on a dead horse? This game is terrible, and that’s why it’s dead. I’d rather Halo 3 be released on the PC, or better yet, save the resources for Halo 5 or 6—assuming 343i actually listens this time and doesn’t build up on Call of Halo: Future Warfare.

easy guys lets not get too far off track and start a flame war.
honestly i would rather see them devote all the resources they can to halo 5. putting any into halo 4 just for pc is a waste of time at this point. i cant imagine the sales would even be worth the time and effort for a pc launch.

Halo 4 is not a bad game. The campaign was great, Spartan Ops was fun and the multiplayer also is fun. However the multiplayer isn’t equal to what we came to expect of an halo game, but nevertheless is a good multiplayer. Overall it’s a great game, the problem is the negativity surrounding it.
Now to the OP, I think it’s a great move not take halo to the pc, simply because then all people would be able to play it, even if they had xbox or not. I bought an xbox exclusively because of halo, but if halo 4, reach and 3 were on the pc then I would never bought an xbox, so I think that is the main reason for microsoft not publish halo for pc anymore

Nobody plays this game on the x360 because it’s a halo/cod HYBRID and nobody would play it on PC. 343i need to remove these stupid COD features made for little kids.
It seems that 343i aren’t listening, we still have istant respawn, personal ordnance, flinch, sprint etc. after a year. Nobody wanted perks. After launch, WE TELL 343i SEVERAL TIMES TO REMOVE THEM COMPLETELY, but they decide to add 3 more perks with the championship bundle. That is just limited and shows that they aren’t listening IMO.
All they can do now is save the resources for Halo 5.

If Halo 4 gets released for PC, the modding community could easily implement Halo 3 maps/gametypes into it.
They were able to do a lot with putting Halo 2 into Halo PC, and Halo 3 to a much lesser degree.

We’re not going down that road with this thread, where here to discuss whether the halo series should be on PC…
I think so, and here are some good reasons

343 can explore more with the hardware and offer some incredible features that even the xbox 1 wouldn’t the able to handle

Updates are easier to make and can be more frequent

No restrictions on how many playlists we can have
-
Would be a great way to promote windows 8, which honestly could use something good to go with it right now…

An improved theater mode that can work for all game modes, not just multiplayer
-
Less need for aim assist and bullet magnetism, which would help in balancing weapons…
The list goes on an on…
well i herd that Microsoft is going to be porting more games over to the pc so hopefully there may be a chance pc can get some new halo games tho i doubt they will port halo 4 over? any halo game besides ce and 2 i think would be some what a success remember how hyped everyone got when they thought they were gonna release halo 3 for pc on steam all we can do is wait and see

Population on 15K - That is only the War Games population. This doesn’t account for people playing campaign, custom games and Spartan Ops. Population could easily be up to 3 or 4 times that.
Lag all the time - I barely ever get lag, maybe twice a night at most. I hardly ever black screen either, maybe 4 times a week. And its not because I have a good connection (average download 4-5Mbs upload 0.6Mbs). I almost never have any of the network problems other people say they have.

343I already need to merge playlists because of population problems, I don’t think it would be wise to take another chunk of that already low matchmaking pop and move them to PC. They need to keep everyone that remains in the same place: Xbox Live.

Um, I’m pretty sure you’ve confused Windows RT, the tablet OS which doesn’t allow for non-approved third party software, with Windows 8.

Keep in mind when looking around there is the standard issue of particular developers “supporting” the new OS (because they technically built their software for windows 7/vista/xp and so on). However as far as I know and have used the OS, Windows 8 doesn’t add on any special bars against third party software.
Plain and simple, Halo 4 is a great game. And I feel it was a great purchase and worth every dollar. Spartan ops could have used a few tweaks, (adding character made Spartans in cinematic scenes)
But it was a 60 dollar game that I enjoyed Immensely. As for it coming out on the Pc, I think 343 is on Halo 5 now, and its for the better.
Hopefully we’ll see a upgrade unlike anything we’ve seen before. Think about it, its on a next gen engine…It’ll be breaking all the rules. And making new Heights to enjoy with Halo.

I’ve been gaming on pc and xbox since i was a kid and my xbox died in January(fixed it two times prior) and have installed a $100 radeon hd 7770 and even with my mid range GPU i just can’t go back to console gaming I’d rather spend $250 on a gtx 760 then several hundred on the next-gen consoles
I wish halo 3, reach, and 4 would be released on PC tehy won’t be compatible with the Xbox One and even if they will be eventually, who will play them really?
The PC userbase has always wanted Halo Microsoft and 343 would make a lot of money of this.
The halo ce CMT modding team is limited by the Halo 1 engine, imagine the content they could produce with halo 3, reach, or 4’s engine with an sdk.
I would drop battlefield 4 instantly to play Halo on the PC I love Halo since i was 7 and it pains me not being able to play it :’(
343 please release 3, reach, and 4 on PC!!!
Might i also add that a gtx 760 will MOP THE FLOOR with the AMD APU powering both the PS4 and XBOX One
Imagine playing halo 3, reach, or 4 with dx11, highres textures, dedicated servers, mods, matches with a greater number of players, etc.

Oh how nice to now that people play campaign 12 mounts every day… Good for them… And i wish to see how that people look like… I have that network speed that you have, you are host probably… Population is saying how good is MP and how good is P2P connection…
