343, will we get another chance at the 20th anniversary H2A armor?

I work for a living and have a family so I wasn’t able to get all of the pieces to the H2A armor. I ended up getting 3/4 but missed out on the helmet.

Are these items going to end up being in the exchange at some point? I wasn’t able to get all of the Halo 3 pieces as well like the Xbox on your back.

I believe Orion is up for grabs again in january, but after that it’s probably gonna be a random cycle again

Probably hopefully it’s in season 9

Unfortunately 343 stated that they will no longer be doing seasons anymore, so season 9 is something that won’t exist unless they change their approach. It’s likely that the only way to get this armor is if they include it in The Exchange again now.

That is a shame. Sadly, the playing population of MCC has dropped so badly that I sat for almost 30 minutes trying to find a game on MCC Halo 2A big team battle.

Prior to INfinite release it usually was less than 1-2 minutes.

What’s sad is I just cannot get into the Call of Duty Infinite and want real Halo…but cannot even get a game anymore. Oh well.

H2A just doesn’t have enough content for me to play it on a regular basis.

I love the exchange system, and it is awesome, but the time limit is ridiculous. I understand what you mean about being busy. Maybe not to the same level though. School keeps me pretty busy, and I really only have Friday night and Saturdays to play, and that’s depending on how much homework I have. I might have to work that weekend and/or study if I have an exam coming up. I missed my chance to get the H2A armors, so I’m hoping they’ll be back soon. I hope maybe 343 will do like a “in case you missed it” section, and make it so that if you logged in for the first time in a week or more, you’ll have a chance to buy what you missed in previous weeks. Not sure how they’d handle it though.

Honestly I think 343 jumped the gun with that statement, expecting everyone to either ignore or fawn over Infinite’s store, however 343 needs that good PR back, and imo 9 months without Forge in Infinite, will absolutely drive players back to MCC.

I wouldn’t be surprised if 343 walks back their statement as does a season 9 and 10 as originally planned just to keep the community from getting more rowdy than they already are.

No need to worry about that. None of the armor -contrary to the literal definition of the word- actually has any impact at all upon your gameplay experience. It’s all useless.

It’s part of the Halo social experience so is it actually does impact the Halo experience quite a bit actually. Maybe look up the old days of Halos 3, Reach and 4 not in terms of gameplay, but community interaction, armor is imperative to the Halo Social experience and it has been since Halo 3.

I assure you it does not, I use no armor in the social playlists of the MCC or previous games and regardless of whether or not my opponents are using any or not they die just the same as I do. I remember halo 3, some of the players had sticks on their back for whatever reason, if that’s the armor you’re referring to it was easier to kill them if they had it actually, you could land stickies on it. There was also recon back then right? That was as I recall obtainable through campaign achievements and did not equate to having multiplayer skill at all.

Sticks only adhere to the hitboxes which are based around the Default Mark VI and Combat Harness, the belief armor affects this is purely a psychological response just as it was with regards to Visor size affecting Headshot percentage. not the topic to discuss this though, so I’d once again advise you to create a new thread if you want to find others to discuss this more with.

back to the Topic at hand: Orion does have another run in early January, and it’s believed that 343 will be re-evaluating how to release the remaining content that wasn’t able to make it to launch this year, Gameplay and Cosmetic alike.

My apologies, I was simply responding to a different poster about something they said in this thread.

As for the original topic, the OP has no worries about missing out on anything - none of that armor will affect his MCC experience in any way. None of the various armor actually does anything, I don’t want him to think he is missing out on anything that would help him. OP, just ignore all of the useless armor and search whatever playlists you enjoy!

See, you’re being disingenuous and still trying to derail the thread though; the topic is about Cosmetic Customization they very well could miss out on, not about your personal grievances towards Cosmetic Customization in the FPS genre. It can, and many times has indeed, had a negative impact on the overall experience of players. Especially when you account for Theatre Mode, as well as both Halo Reach and Halo 4 where it is merely a method of character creation and customization earned via gameplay to make the character that of which the player considers perfect for their personalized tastes. missing out on experiencing these modes to their fullest extent thanks to the items having a limited window for acquisition is a very real possibility.

it’s cool you like to keep your Characters Default, and nobody faults you for not personally understanding/caring about the features outside of the multiplayer gameplay, but consistently spamming these reaffirmations on threads that are centered around this topic you find “pointless” is largely nonconstructive and unhelpful to those who do care for the topic itself.

I’m simply being honest. The OP thinks they are missing out on something yet limited-edition nothing is the same as regular nothing. Whatever armor he is inquiring about will - if used - do the same as any other armor available in the game which happens to be nothing. Not sure why you’re referring to theater mode here, of course I’ve used it a handful of times to see how I died seemingly at random over the course of my years playing but I know that whatever armor I could have chosen to use in that instance wouldn’t have changed matters.

Once more, you’re dishonestly spamming unhelpful and nonconstructive reaffirmations about how you find this feature pointless, even in the face of countless answers and facts to the contrary. this continued attempt to feign compassion is as transparent as glass; you’re merely telling off users that care for the subject matter in a way that avoids moderation, and dismissing any counterarguments that prove your stance to be nothing more than a facetious lie.

the topic is a question posited by the OP: will the unlockable rotate back into the exchange, and if so when?
to which the answer is: yes, from January 5th to January 12th, and from there it will enter the usual pool for an undisclosed time unless the Exchange does receive a rework in the future.

That’s the core point of the conversation: to discuss the timed nature of the exchange, how long the items that can be unlocked there will be available, and whether or not they will have a possibility to come back in the future.

Everybody knows you don’t care about these features as you have copy and pasted time and again how it does nothing for you, nobody cares to know that you don’t care about these features as this Topic made for those who do care about these features. If you want to discuss other features, if you want to complain about Cosmetic development taking away from Gameplay and Bug fixes, go do so in an appropriate Topic either by finding one or creating it yourself, instead of low-key insulting users for creating and discussing a Topic you do not like.

How am I not being helpful? I was merely letting the OP know that, if those useless armor variants ever appeared again, that they would have no benefit from acquiring them. FOMO is apparently a big thing nowadays and I didn’t want the OP to think that he was missing out on anything that would matter.

Because you are insulting the intelligence of everyone who dares post about cosmetics, nameplates, or other “useless” items, acting like anyone who posts about wanting cosmetics doesn’t already know what you constantly spout.

Because you are giving an answer to a question nobody asked on a topic unrelated to the answer you are giving. An answer that everyone discussing these features are well aware of and consider irrelevant since they understand the features intended function and the modes that make the most use of it. Something you clearly do not care about, which is fine, but makes your continued insistence on spamming the same answer on every topic regarding Cosmetic Content unhelpful, unwarranted, unconstructive, and derailing.

how does low-key insulting the OP and everyone here helpful to answering the topic: “will we get another chance at the 20th anniversary H2A armor?”
how does it further the discussion about Exchange Items and the application of Timed Content?
how does it add to the discussions regarding future content relating to the Cosmetic features within the MCC?

the short answer: it doesn’t.

My response is very much on-topic. I’m letting the OP know that said armor he is inquiring about will not impact his gaming experience in any way, regardless of whether his opponents happen to have it or not. None of the various armor, unlockable or not, will do anything at all to alter the OP’s gaming experience.
