I know that back in novembr it was confirmed that competitve skill ranks would only appear on halo waypoint, but has that changed in any way at all?
If it has they havent said anything. Itd be nice for convinience reasons but if it really matters to you you’ll look.
That was never confirmed. And no new information has come out about it yet.

I think they we’re pretty clear about the ranks when they called it web based.

It’s not a matter of looking. Ranks won’t have any real significance if they’re limited to Waypoint. Half the people won’t know they exist, and I’m not down to search up every opponent I’m up against to get a gist of how good they are prior to playing (as I would normally do in Halo 2 or Halo 3). Searching them up individually and waiting for the results to load for each person seems like a very unnecessary inconvenience, and it almost nullifies the purpose of ranks altogether.
I’m pretty sure they said it will only be view able on Waypoint, which I think is a bad idea.
They also said sometime in the future it MIGHT be visible in-game too.

Yes it will be only visible on 343 and who knows if it will be 1-50 they even stated that at anytime they could change it to something new and improved. I’m actually glad it will not show and I have my personal reasons why.

Because who cares, a number is never going to define anyone’s skill,
There are good days and bad days there are cheated levels and people could just go back to making multiple accounts and getting their 50 again and people who pair against these types of people have no clue they are actually playing a higher level player, just leave the defining of skill to in-game performance, thats really the only way anyone will know who they are up against really.
Visible ranks shouldn’t be taken this seriously it is just a number next to your name made of pixels and people are complaining and fighting over something as little as a number.
it does not matter to me i just wanted to get a response on whether their plans have change for how it will be implemented, because i got sick of seeing forums complaing about it. But id like everybody to go to my thread titled: 343 N COMMUNITY HELP MAKE A CHANGE IN HALO 4. im trying to get support from the community.
how could they make a ranking system for a broken mess of a game, reach is better than this -Yoink- dont try fixing something that aint broken u think they would have learnt from bungie demise i blame microsopft for being money grabbers all i can say is that now that halo isnt my number 1 game im not even sure if ill even get the next xbox might get a wii u at least they listen to their fans when it comes to their own titles

Its casual comments like this that ruin competitive gaming.
And if this is true and rank is only viewable on waypoint, then my final hopes for this game to be improved are over and im afraid it will be farewell to halo 4.
