Dominion would rock with Spartans vs Elites… (Sorry for my bad English, im spanish >.<)
And others gametypes like flood… where if you prefer elites you would be a flood elite… =/
So many things that could have been possible 343.
If it was like halo 3 and reach elite’s head hit box from behind no.

Because war games is “spartan training” and where would a spartan learn to fight like an elite? IDK, at least they made a canonical reason for removing elites, instead of just taking them out.
halo 4 = halo 1
so halo 2 should = halo 5? (bringing elites back)
(this is only on the subject of elites and not comparing the two games)

Yeah but, infected (flood) doesn’t seems like a spartan training… xD
Canon issues, it is War games and it is all taking place on infinity. Elites are not as prominent in this game as they were in others and even in the story line, they have fallen from what they once were because of their “ONI sponsored” civil war.
Flood is reasonable training to be in War games, as the Flood were the main reason the Halo’s and Promethean Knights were designed in the first place and lead to the extinction of the Forerunners.
Notice a pattern?
Campaign + Spartan Ops
Flood + Dominion
It’s no coincidence that what should ahve been a full experience has been split for more diverse gameplay (which, IMO, has yet to be achieved).

Yet they’ve run simulations for Scarabs.
Because of 2 reasons:
- It would have taken time and money that would have been wasted:
about 2% (estimate) of the Reach population played as elites in non-elite designed modes (eg. invasion, elite slayer, etc.), this means that elites aren’t needed, don’t know why they got rid of invasion though -> Red vs Blue anyone
- oh no!, it doesn’t fit cannon old movie woman scream (which it would have easily, maybe 2 sentences in the story is all it took)
Great going 343i. When there is a zombie/flood outbreak, the spartans will be prepared. But when it comes down to fighting elites, they’re -Yoinked!-.
