And why don’t you fix it? The game sets you up for failure so much that it cannot be coincidence.
Bad spawns, match after match… Bad teammates nowhere near your level of rank, match after match… Teammates that lag out or quit, match after match…
It gets pretty suspicious after a while, because it always occurs this way… because then a couple days later, the game decides, “ohh, Player X has had it rough lately…” Then you proceed to steamroll kids, game after game after game… until it decides to maybe even things out for a little stretch of time. Then it sets you up to consistently lose again and the cycle repeats.
I swear it happens just like this every single time. Please fix the player matching 343!
i honestly think the matching is pretty fair. Except for FFA. Im always running into diamonds that suck and im only plat right now
I know it seems unfair when in competitive playlists, but overall I seem to win 50% and lose 50% from what I can see.
I’m not sure if it’s bad, but it may require some sort of adjustment.
The matchmaking is actually one of the few things I don’t have a problem with in this game. Even with a not so great population it is still easy to get into matches quickly and they are usually fairly balanced.
Wasn’t this a thead already Bacon?

Right, but it shouldn’t be artificially determined like it seems to be… It should be because of evenly ranked teams squaring off against each other every single game, providing CLOSE matches every time… of which some you win, some you lose.
You shouldn’t feel like the game loves/hates you on certain days to the point where it seems to give you easy wins or brutal loses. It’s like you have little to no control over the games you lose.
I foresee this thread being locked in the near future. lol
I don’t think it sucks. I’ve never had a problem with it that was worth complaining about. Couple of times I waited longer than I could appreciate to be dropped into a game but nothing heinous.
I like it.

Op I know what your talking about… Its consistency… But I think the problem with what you are describing lies more in the area of the servers. If you fall out of the umbrella of closest server your next optional server likely gets fairly far away. And then the games really get very inconsistent in so many aspects. I feel this games first priority is getting you into the game the quickest no matter what preference you select. Remember your very likely not always playing on the same server every game. Its either decided on by population of current server or by time zone and time you play. Some of the things you pointed out in your description like teammates lagging out or quitting is more then likely them being fairly far away from a server as well. All this compounds into a very poor game. One thing that would help you and this game is selectable data centers. While it wouldn’t be a cure all it would be more consistent as long as the current server you select has players on it.
Zippy.
Halo 5: Guardians seriously encourages team play. Not just in multiplayer, but in campaign, too. Find a team to play with and you’ll enjoy yourself. Queue up by yourself and you won’t find much pleasure.
