I dont get it 343 , I am just amazed at your lack of common sense.
You could have added all your new "innovations " as equipment , we could have had twice the number of equipment than in halo 3 , because the equipment system worked. The xbox live numbers dont lie.
But no , lets screw the loyal 10 year Halo fanbase by "evolving " armor abilities .
And as an special bonus for all those fans lets add elements from call of duty.
And just to make fans excited , lets completely remove firefight , and replace it with spec ops (spartan ops)
WTF ??
I agree with everything except spartan ops. Spartan ops doesn’t really bug me.
and completely kill off the elite community… what a great plan!
BECAUSE EQUIPMENT SUCKED. Bubble shield was the only cool one, everything else was worthless or annoying. Shield regen was the worst because it was basically like armor lock without the “unable to shoot” part, shield drain was annoying as hell like on Construct when BKs would just launch it up the lift, and everything else was worthless. (radar jammer lol) Equipment is just as much of a crutch for poor skill as armor lock and jet pack are, but even less predictable.
I didnt think this was possible … but 343 managed to piss of just about every part of the halo community … to please the cod fans
Microsoft should seriously be worried , coz Halo is no longer the “Must Have” system seller it always was
and they managed to piss us all of be for releasing there own game (only other produced by 343 was bungies and they just re painted it)

Even the bubble shield was terrible.
What do you mean by “The Xbox numbers don’t lie”?

Bro, equipment in Halo 3 rocked. Shield drain was easy to counter, so was bubble shield. Only kind of OP one was shield drain. And note all of these were pick-ups, the literally can’t be crutches. By that same logic you should have to label power weapons as crutches.

Exactly ,
343 could add the craziest equipment and it still wont affect core gameplay because its a pickup , thus acting as a power weapon

Bro, equipment was far and away the most disappointing and half-baked aspect of Halo 3. It was uninteresting most of the time (because most of them sucked) and extremely annoying when the were a shield drain or especially regen. In the campaign they were beyond worthless and the AI seemingly wasn’t even programmed correctly to use them because Brutes will just randomly lob bubble shields and radar jammers at their own, non-sensical discretion. Even if 343 did balance them equipment is still a boring gameplay concept that serves only to disturb the pace of combat at completely random intervals with wildly varying degrees of success.

He means that Halo 3 supposedly had more players, but its inaccurate. It might have had more players on as a daily average but that was due to less Live users, less games competing with Halo, and a longer life span. If u look at Bungie’s Halo data page that they made, Reach was on pace to beat Halo 3’s numbers even though Bungie combined ODST with Halo 3 in that data.
