Seriously, A lot of people love it. Why remove it? It’s one of the most populair playlists. Don’t Ya’ll agree?
It’s gone?
About time!
No I just played it. But if it was removed I really wouldn’t care.

You should probably avoid using we in that sentence. I dislike SWAT very much, one shot kills is not for me and probably for others as well. I enjoy the 1v1 fights with shields because that takes skill when you beat your opponent.
I really hope it doesn’t get removed. Its one of my fav gamemodes.
Ah the way this was worded made it sound like it was taken out,
I hope they remove it,
I’d rather have 2 rotational playlists

Why can’t we just have ALL playlists implemented in the game and never delete ANY, everybody happy, one happy family, peace and love, you get the point
I have wondered this myself, If you dont like swat then dont play it simple as that, but to get rid of the list entirely just seems benign.
As far as I have seen it is consistently the third most populated list behind big team and regular slayer, which just serves to show its popularity. Also there never is a question as to whether or not other lists such as king of the hill or flood should be removed. So then why is the idea of removing swat even on the table?
Very good question, would like to hear some solid reasons other than whining
(ie) “it doesn’t take skill”
personally I believe that swat takes more skill, but still that’s just my opinion

I think it’s clear that 343 do not like the old playlists like SWAT, Rumble Pit, Double Team etc. and want to push new things (like Regicide) onto the community.
The population argument is just an excuse to do this.

I couldn’t have said it any better.
Something I originally posted about in the Bulletin is the notion of keeping SWAT when the bulletins have made it a clear cut definition of, “because SWAT continues to perform well, it’ll be sticking around for another week.” which means only one thing:
If SWAT fails to perform, it will be removed. Now, I don’t have anything against the SWAT player base and I don’t have anything against those who play other playlists, but the simple truth of the matter is fairness and equal treatment is an ideal standard for any business to endorse and 343 is no exception to that.
With that said, rotational playlists… ALL rotational playlists… should be rotated. The fact SWAT has endured this long is fine, but the truth of the matter is, the fairness which comes with the other player base who play the rotational playlists who get removed may be high enough that 343 needs to understand will leave the game till the playlist they like gets returned. At its peak, Team Snipers, for example, held over 10k population. This disappeared, along with a 40k drop in population across all playlists, after.
I don’t pretend to say Team snipers was the cause for that, but the fact is, they may have very well left because of its removal.
SWAT is classified as a rotational playlist. To be fair to other players and the general player base, it either needs to be rotated into removal or a permanent playlist.
because of this, I sincerely hope it is rotated to permanent status and another permanent playlist sacrificed so two rotational playlists can once again be present.
While I agree that SWAT may not be as difficult as normal slayer, it’s still fun to a lot of people (including me), I see no harm in it being there.
Swat is also one of Kevin Franklin’s favorite gametypes. Coupled with it’s performance, it’s not going anywhere any time soon.
It hasn’t been removed, i don’t know where anyone is getting this. It’s still there.
It’s also a playlist where the BR isn’t being outshined by the DMR all time

Indeed

All very true and you make some very good point(s). And I like the idea of making SWAT a perm. playlist. Kinda what I was aiming for. I can think of some permanent playlists which would be a good candidate to be removed…

Sorry for the double post, but I adjusted this the second he addressed his issue with my choice of words. Why complain about this even after I changed this 10 minutes before you posted.
I don’t think Frank O’ Conner would be having a good day if it was removed. The matchmaking team better watch out for a collision with the space mop if it is X)

> They also could have left because of other games or any other number of reasons. My point is that SWAT is the third highest populated list on a CONSISTENT basis. I may be wrong, but I remember snipers being popular initially, but still never reached the level that SWAT was at. If your saying that the loss of the team snipers game mode led to the loss of a large amount of players in the player base, then the loss of SWAT would be an even larger more devastating loss to the player base. All of which are more reasons to give it permanent status on the game modes list.
>
> I agree with you though it is not fair to others that enjoy other game modes on the rotation list. It would make sense, in my humble opinion, to give it permanent status.
Good, now they should replace it with snipers.
I’m no big lover of SWAT, but i play it on occasion.
Either way is fine with me.
