343 please give the fans Halo 2 online multiplayer. It had the best online experience, it had the best maps, best physics, best movement speed, best hit range, best everything.
It’s been 4 months since Halo 1 was rereleased, the real Halo fans want HALO 2 back, still no word yet, will we get it eventually?
Metal Gear Solid gets brought back and becomes an instant hit, why not Halo 2?
Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary was made as a tribute to the fans of Halo and a celebration of ten years of the Halo series, it was highly demanded and 343 listened and give it the get go.
Halo 2 though, has no reason to be remade, it will split the population between Halo 4 & Halo 2 HD if it was to be remade, which is one of many reason why Reach was used as CEAs Multiplayer.
I don’t see it happening any time soon, it would require a heck of a lot more work than CEA did considering it would need to have its Multiplayer done as well as Campaign.

Nope. If Halo 2 is remade, I see it being the exact same as CEA, just a remastered campaign and maps for whatever the current Halo game is. They wouldn’t bring more servers online for it when they have 3, Reach, and 4 out.

The main reason CEA didn’t have remastered Multiplayer was because it was never configured to work with Xbox LIVE, however, Halo 2 was, the whole original Xbox LIVE service was closed down.
It’s likely 343 could do it, but they aren’t going to just remake the Campaign and nothing else, it will be all or nothing, I’m expecting nothing with Halo 3, ODST, Reach and 4 on the way.

If they DO re-release it, it won’t be until AFTER the Reclaimer trilogy AND it will NOT be anything near the same.

In a game informer interview Dan Ayob ( I think it was him) said that a halo 2 remake is “taken in to consideration” and that they are “looking at”

Nonsense, nothing but hyperbole and self made facts in your post. You don’t know any more about what’s going to happen than anybody else does.
With millions of dollars at stake, with the 10th anniversary of Live looming, with H2 being the game that jump-started Live and launched the xbox 360 it’s reasonable to expect MS to take a remake of seriously. It will happen, imo and it will happen Nov 9th 2014.
It doesn’t need some fancy pants HD remake. I just want the multiplayer on XBLA… Their is no need to make it an anniversary celebration. Face the facts… Halo 2 multiplayer remade on the XBLA… 800-1200 msp… Extreme profit for everyone. It would take really no time to make it happen. All they would need is 12 achievements for 200 points and put that biznitch back online. Heck even the people complaining that their shouldn’t be one would buy it… -_-
Here’s an idea that I find could work out…
Halo 2 Anniversary (since I know this is the only way it’s going to happen…)
Have H2A come with like 3-6 maps for Halo 4.
And then have a DLC card to download H2 Multiplayer Arcade.
