343 What u doin M8?

I’ve made some posts in the past criticizing the launch of this game, and I want to thank 343 for the additions they’ve added that round out the MP experience better…

BUT…

This game still needed like 6-12 more months in the oven. No Co-Op, No Forge, Microtransactions out the -Yoink!- and you have to play for like 500+ hours to unlock all the customization options. Why do we have to unlock armor colors? Previous entries in the series let us do the color ourselves while leaving the armor options to be unlocked.

Happier with the game’s addition of new playlists (happy I can play SWAT and Slayer finally) but come the next few months the player base will drop to the 10,000’s and remain there if not lower. (already a 50%+ dropoff) And don’t get me wrong, I’ll be one of the 10,000 but less players = less ongoing development. The MP and Campaign play are really fun gameplay and gunplay wise but 343 got greedy and lazy. Actually… ever since it was no longer Bungie it hasn’t been Halo, it’s something different now.

Fanboys feel free to QQ in the comments. - There’s very few things to look forward to with this game. Sad that this is what the once great Halo franchise has become.

– And this event thing going on, I thought they were supposed to have fixed it, I still capped at 7 challenges? why is there even a cap.

Glad you are enjoying the game! uwu
Remember to visit the shop and see if you can spend some cashies on our fluffy ears.

Maybe we can add each other over the ingame friend list and play some fun BTB games.

Ha, you’re definitely not the only one!

I too remember a time when games launched functional and complete, and were played for enjoyment.

That’s probably why it’s hard for me to get hyped anymore, because I’ve been disappointed at so many launches.

Nail polish. Go buy it now!

I legitimately believe they think the population of their player base loved the idea.

Gaming is going down the tubes.

The 2021 winter launch’s should be a good highlight for anyone who has not figured it out yet.

Halo, COD, and BF have been the premier FPS games for the past what 15-20 years now. Every single one has been broken at launch, and not just the “it needs a day one patch” like the past few iterations, but fundamentally unplayable or missing huge swaths of content that should have been there.

Yes, “Thing” air, good point though I did completely make that number up.

Agree agree agree with it all, the game is clearly half finished on the multiplayer side anyway, I’ll even add that assassinations we’re removed because they can’t get them right yet

$1000.00+ Dollars to unlock the entire Battle-pass, not to mention the overpriced items in the in game shop.

They gave up on the writing and creativity in Halo, and turned it into a cash cow.

Jesus man, I’m not happy either but wishing ill will towards people’s livelihoods is a little extreme. You’re probably one of the people that got r/Halo locked down. How about we wish these people keep their jobs or possibly be moved to different positions or how about we wish they just pull it together? We don’t have to shower them with adulation when they fix it.

Most games in the same bracket have priepr events and personal attention during holidays.

Infinite, that has only just launched, got a last minute, emergency band-aid in the form of a Slayer playlist.

Who in their right mind thought this level of service was OK?

I just cannot fathom how anyone can look at how they want to launch their game and then go ahead and plan what 343 have planned.

How? How can they have looked at their product, looked at their plan for the month after launch and decided to go ahead?

Where’s the features? The engagement with the game and community? Why have they walked away for over a month and done nothing except extra XP (via a rather I elegant fix) and a couple of already expected playlists?

It just seems like as a company, they don’t care about Halo. I’m sure there are one or two that truly do but if you were passionate about Halo, you could never think this is acceptable.

Yep. All the creativity in the game is recycled from previous titles. It’s like they just hit a brick wall.

With Infinite’s launch, if I were 343, I would have introduced a new game mode or two, created specifically for PvP and/or PvE.

A new type of PvP Warzone simulation without REQ would have been great in Infinite. Same idea as before, 2 large teams that are competing to conquer all of the 3 Banished Outposts on the map but with some minor twists, instead of killing the Banished for extra “points” like we did with the Covenant in H5, you eliminate the Banished opponents to unlock temporary weapon caches and vehicles to use in that match. First team to XX wins. Then maybe even have a Warzone-sized Slayer variant available or Assault, etc.

Then I would have added a revamped Firefight for sure, which would have been perfect for Infinite’s story. Flashbacks of Marines and Spartans holding out, somewhere on Zeta ring or up in space on UNSC/Banished starships, praying for evac. They could have went with the old ‘one area Firefight’ from H5, but I would revamp it, and make it a large map for Firefight where your team has to move to several different bases or positions to get to the pick up spot (possibly do little objectives along the way) and then hold out there for the last couple of phases.

So much potential that may or may not come…

Who’s excited for another variation of the color red… But don’t worry this one is going to be locked to just the pistol… And.ots going to be in used on the weekly bundle,

I’m extremely excited to buy that bundle of one coating and the Same emblem 5 times.

I mean that is seriously next level creativity. Why make one emblem universal when you can split it over 5 different things and call it individual items… Amazing development there.

I’m in agreeance. What this game does right it does amazingly. It’s the perfect match of classic halo look and feel with just a few slight tweaks that put it on par with modern games.

However what it does wrong is just awful. Map selection is bad. 2 of the 4 maps feel almost like BTB, behemoth and launch, BTB doesn’t work, weapon selection is bad customization etc. I was really bitter a week after launch with this game because I was hyped for so long. I’m warmed up a bit because I get stuff happens and changes aren’t an over night deal but there should be some more concrete info on what they’re doing or planning.
