343, what are you doing?

343, I’m going to be straight with you, or at least whomever is reading this.

You were showing sings of greatness by spreading the TU throughout the playlist. But now? What are you doing? TU>Default, there is no denying that So what are you doing with the March update? You’re changing it because the people on this biased forum didn’t like it? Seriously? Wake up. This forum is biased. The moderators only ban people who disagree with them. I can guarantee that I will get banned for this post.

Competitive players are getting screwed out of the game we created.
It’s up to you, 343. You either revive Halo or kill it. If Halo 4 is ANYTHING like Reach, it will fail.

Just to say, you will get banned for bypassing the profanity filter, not for disagreeing with the mods.

Yea, the forum is what caused the problem. This one forum. Not HBO, NeoGaf, Halo Community, GriffballHub, or any other place. Just this forum.

And certainly not the empirical data that supported this idea. No, that’s never looked at either. We shall just ban all the things we see that we don’t agree with. And that will be funny, since some of us like TU more than others.

But let me go find my hammer, and I’ll be right back for ya! (not really, but srsly).

Not even a week ago all you “Pro TU” players loved 343i and now you all hate them. oh the irony.

343 claimed that the voting in Team Slayer would determine the future of TEAM SLAYER. Not ALL of Reach.

What I find interesting is that, even if default won, the players who truly like the TU were out playing gametypes that had the TU in it. Like, oh, I don’t know… Squad Slayer?

The logic behind 343’s decision is immensely flawed. Which is very surprising to me because I thought they were better than this.

> Not even a week ago all you “Pro TU” players loved 343i and now you all hate them. oh the irony.

They made settings we liked, then changed them right back to appease the complainers. At least TU and Vanilla coexisted before.

Are you kidding? Look around you. This website is stuffed with pro TU, pro competitive play people. People like me who preferred things as they were get dumped on and denigrated every day. Perhaps 343i has started to see though it at last.

And there was probably enough evidence to show that there was overwhelming support for BOTH candidates. Squad was brought back with the knowledge that if it wasn’t played it would go away.

There can only be so many playlists. Seriously. There is a limit. I don’t where the issue lies. Squad Slayer was a dying breed already.

> Not even a week ago all you “Pro TU” players loved 343i and now you all hate them. oh the irony.

I still was 50/50 even with the TU

> Oh, and to the moderators who are going to ban this post, go away. You’re all terrible, so why you were put in charge of a forum dedicated to Halo is beyond me. You have no idea what you’re talking about, and you ban whoever brings attention to that fact.

If you had half the sense you think you do, you’d realise THIS is why posters get banned.
That this is yet another topic about a subject already open in many places is why it will get closed.

Squad Slayer was a “dying breed”? Have you seen playlists like Firefight, Co-op campaign, grifball, DLC, Anniversary, Team Objective, multi-team, Arena?

Those all had similar and even LOWER populations than Squad. No matter how you want to look at it, 343 messed up with this one.

A mistake doesn’t make them a terrible company. A refusal to admit they made one, however, shows poor community interaction/understanding.

I mean, vanilla and TU players played the same game side-by-side. We were going to play it this way until Halo 4 came out and finally play under one game again with one set of rules. There was nothing wrong with this but it was changed anyway.

So is Co Op campaign, Team Objective, Squad DLC, TU ZB Slayer, Action Sack, and Grifball but they are still here

> Not even a week ago all you “Pro TU” players loved 343i and now you all hate them. oh the irony.

That couldn’t possibly have something to do with taking 3 steps backwards in regards to the TU and playlist options.

Nope it’s just a coincedence that page 2 and 3 are covered in locked threads that are all saying the same thing.

Co-op campaign - the only way to play matchmade campaign games. Not going anywhere. Let’s be real.

Team Objective - Because they really wanna get rid of classic Objective gametypes, right?

Squad DLC - Tired of the same ol maps? Go here. Yea, not going anywhere either.

TU ZB - personal opinion aside, it could simply have the enough UU’s to stick around

Grifball - you really just said that? It has a cult following.

Bungie killed Team objective in Halo 3 and I had a 42 in the playlist. 343i can and will do what ever the -Yoink- they want.

> 343, I’m going to be straight with you, or at least whomever is reading this.

Good, then I will return the favor.

> You were showing sings of greatness by spreading the TU throughout the playlist. But now? What are you doing? TU>Default, there is no denying that So what are you doing with the March update?

I think they are responding to a collection of votes where the TU was shown to be favored less the vanilla.

> You’re changing it because the people on this biased forum didn’t like it?

By a large margin, people on this forum and others love the TU and say so in endless threads and polls. Try finding a poll where vanilla beat the TU in preference, I will save you some time, there isnt one, vanilla loses every time on this forum, thats the truth.

> Seriously?

Yes.

> Wake up.

I have been, for hours now.

> This forum is biased.

For the TU.

> The moderators only ban people who disagree with them.

Not true, its more of a breaking the rules kind of thing that gets you banned.

> I can guarantee that I will get banned for this post.

Na, maybe the thread will be modded, but I dont see anything ban worthy.

> Competitive players are getting screwed out of the game we created.

Dude, you created Halo, thank you so much is what I would say if anybody on this forum created this game, we are all just fans though, so that wont be needed.

> It’s up to you, 343. You either revive Halo or kill it. If Halo 4 is ANYTHING like Reach, it will fail.

If by fail, you mean millions of people will buy it and play it for years, then yes, that what is going to happen, you can bet the bank on that one.

> Oh, and to the moderators who are going to ban this post, go away. You’re all terrible, so why you were put in charge of a forum dedicated to Halo is beyond me. You have no idea what you’re talking about, and you ban whoever brings attention to that fact.

Calling out mods is forbade here and on Bnet, you most likely know that though.

The point of my post was not to gather your opinion on the respective playlists, it was to show you that other playlists are struggling in the population area as well but are still allowed to continue.

Oh, Action Sack is another one. Yet it receives update month after month.

> Just to say, you will get banned for bypassing the profanity filter, not for disagreeing with the mods.

Not even true. Any post remotely critical will get you banned. The swearing is edited out but I can guarantee you that this thread will get locked anyway because some mods don’t like it when there are different opinions out there.

Squad Slayer - Only playlist besides Arena that consistently matched parties with other parties. Also the only Slayer only playlist with TU and no AL.

Some playlists need to go, but not Squad Slayer. Action Sack, for one, should be put out of its misery. Stuff like that is for custom games anyway.

This coming from possibly one of the most vocal pro-TU voices on the forum. it’s the people like you who are asking - nay, demanding - that the Title Update be rolled out for the entirity of Reach, leaving the Vanilla lovers with only Custom Games to play. If 343i listened to your side of the fence, we’d have nothing but the Title Update.

Look, I honestly don’t want to stalk you around the forum and putting down your posts, but do try not to put your foot in it so much, will you? It’s hard to be a pleasant person when I have to stop so often to tell you you’re wrong.

Regardless: on-topic:

I’ll agree, the mods on this forum are less than stellar sometimes - but from personal experience, they tend to lock and ban because you deserved it. The usual culprits are profanity filter bypasses and duplicate topics that contain virtually no discussion content other than, like this topic, to rant and rail about something in one form or another.

Take your lumps and deal with them. We have dedicated forum topics regarding the March Update, please use them.
