Something tells me this will take the same route as the Eternal Armor effect from Halo: Reach in a sense where, if you didn’t get it, you didn’t get it, even if these circumstances regarding the HCS Premium REQ Packs are indeed different. In a sense it is fair that some people got it, because they earned their 343i premium content through the RNG system via the HCS Premium REQ Pack in which they invested money into and purchased from 343 themselves, even if the unlocking of it was a glitch and unintentional. They didn’t use an unjust mean to obtain it, they paid 343 for it, and is due to a hiccup on 343i’s end.
There were even a small handful who unlocked the Vanguard Emblem (The console exclusive emblem) through this accidental glitching that occured with the HCS packs, and from what I understand one or two people who even unlocked the 343 Industries Emblem from it. In the end though, it was a hiccup on 343i’s end. People bought premium REQ packs for premium REQ content, and in essence they got what they paid for, even in the premium REQ content they received wasn’t the content meant in mind.
Not everybody should get 343i weapon skins, 343i Emblem, or the Vanguard Emblem due to a screwup on 343i’s end. People paid for what they got out of their HCS Premium REQ packs, they didn’t use an ill-legit method to obtain what they got, so it’s fair in the end that they got what they got.
Well as a bit of an update from B is for Bravo, it would turn out the 343i weapon skins were randomly given out for a short duration, discussed at the end of the community update . 57 ARs and 44 magnums were given out, so they were actually premium content hidden away within the premium REQ packs, so this just further backs up people got what they paid for. We missed out, we missed out, nothing we can do. As I thought these small unique giveaways would turn out to be, just like ‘blue flames’.
Any notion however of a 343 Industries Emblem though should not be taken seriously, as he stated none were handed out apparently. What was not discussed was the small handful of people who unlocked the Vanguard Emblem through the HCS pack, so that is still assumed to be an unlock glitch.
I think the 343 skins should be avaliable in premium or limited time packs only. They shouldn’t give out any 343 emblems though, so you can tell who actually is part of 343i

Nope. Honestly, it’s your fault for thinking you would get the 343i skins just because you have all the other REQ items. We knew nothing about them. Hell, we didn’t even know if it was a glitch or not.

Exactly, they failed to make any sort of announcement regarding the matter until over 24 hours later, all the while twitter and reddit were blowing up with people trying to unlock them after the first unlock was reported only minutes after the pack was released.
I honestly don’t care about the money. It’s the principle of the thing. They need to either make them available to all, or revoke the ones handed out. I paid for the same packs as everyone else. Yet a select few are given special treatment? That’s -Yoink- and you know it.

I made it 2 minutes after the first 343i skins were reported.
Yeah, I would try. There was no reason to think you could not get those. You basically bought a silver pack for 10 dollars 
then 343 should remove the skins

They should remove them a developer should be allowed to keep cosmetics items to themselves

I KNOW that’s -Yoink-, one if my friends bought 3 packs right away; didn’t receive the skins but did get a 343 emblem.
He hardly ever plays so just buys packs instead. He’s spent an ungodly amount on packs. Never did the silver -> gold, just buys gold packs every week.
