I get that this is a beta, but upon my login today I was excited… now I don’t have to scrounge around the map searching for an assault rifle… but then you yanked away the hip sights on the thing… the fine aim on the assault rifle is so “fine” that you have to be more accurate than any other gun in the game. You basically turned my old halo standby into pure garbage that you have to guess where the thing is going to hit.
I SHOULD NOT BE SPRINTING TO THE CLOSEST SMG SPAWN SO I CAN HIT THE BROAD SIDE OF A BARN.
I could use the battle rifle. hell, I do all the time in campaign. but on review of the kill cams states that the “4 shot kill zone” encompasses the whole of the torso, up to 5 foot to my right, and in one case threw a floor. that’s not even counting the times that my shields just outright refuse to recharge even after 30 seconds of standing perfectly still.
I realize that this is a work in progress. heck, I even know how much of a pain in the -Yoink- unexpected bugs are. but this only effects the assault rifle and lasts throughout every match in slayer…
now if you are out there tonight and you see some random guy shooting the wall and standing still for a while that’s probably me. I’m breaking out the masking tape and markers so I can attempt to use my assault rifle like I can in any other halo game.
