> What exactly is a “True Halo Fan?” This seems like a phrase people are just throwing around to feel entitled.
I would call a Halo fan someone who is a fan of a large aspect of Halo. This isn’t specifically multiplayer but any big part of the franchise. Whether it be the books/law, multiplayer or campaign.
Thank you, 343! You guys really are doing a good job of listening to the fans and trying hard to fix things that initially didn’t work too well (like the scarab gun DMR), and I eagerly look forward to Halo 5!
One of the many things I love about H4 is the variety.
Previously In other titles, It used to be “Throw a frag there, BR his face, throw frag, BR, frag, BR, frag” It was fun back in the day if you were good at it but christ, that was the only playstyle available.
Now 343i lets me choose how I want to play, if you’re an AR guy cool, if you’re into your precision rifles there you go. Sure there’s balancing issues but that can always be a custom to change. I just hate being called a “bad kid” or “not a true Halo fan” because I like spawning with a Carbine.
While I commend you for the positivity you’ve pretty much undone any kind of good you set out to do by saying that people who enjoy Halo 4 are ‘True Halo Fans’
Just because someone chooses not to eat everything off of 343’s plate doesn’t make them any less dedicated than you.
Of course when someone tries to make a positive thread they get bashed. -_-
A “true halo fan” is someone who has been playing halo sense halo CE and someone who reads the books to learn more about the story. Sure we all have are least favorite halo games but that doesn’t make us any more or less of a a true halo fan. I love all halo’s equally, I read the books, and I can’t wait for halo 5, I think that says a lot there of a dedicated halo fan. Sure I might not play halo all the time but it’s still my number one favorite gaming series.

Thank you Bibzy. Took the words right out of my mouth and threw them into a text.

Maybe they shouldn’t be divisive with terms like true Halo fans. Whenever someone negative uses it, it’s bad, but when someone positive does it, it is fine?

Hi, I have been with the Halo franchise since Halo 2, and I don’t own any of the books because they are not sold in my country, I play Halo almost daily and I consider it my favourite videogame franchise
Does this mean im not a real Halo fan, since I haven’t been here since the beginning, and I don’t spend 30+ euros for each book so I can order them over seas?

You are right that typo needed fixing. The best points made here are constructive ones. A true Halo fan can mean many things to many people. Something that has always appealed to me about Waypoint is the community has never maintained a high population of flamers, and bashers. Nothing man has ever made is without flaw. The Dev’s at 343, and it’s partners have done an excellent job with Halo 4. Negativity will not make Halo 5 better. Your suggestions are n not ignored here. Just remember to make a positive delivery of your criticism. You catch more flies with honey than with crap.

Well that’s my logic/opinion if you don’t like well that’s fine.
lots of people love halo 4 its a fact it got better reviews than halo 3 and reach me personally i think tot population is low because there i no replayabilty to the game no rank system to armor to unlock
