hey guys im making a positive thread to 343… Thank you 343 keep up the great work u improved halo 4 a lot but i always liked it anyway… If your a true halo fan u will stick through the great times and the tough times of the halo series and i know 343 has a surprise for us true halo fans for h5, so i made this thread to show i have confidence in 343 and show them we still support them
Nice to see a positive thread but I don’t think its fair to say people who don’t enjoy/play Halo 4 are not true Halo fans. If they don’t enjoy the game, they shouldn’t play it. Plenty of people on this forum love Halo (been with it since the beginning) but don’t like Halo 4.
Great thread. I agree, true Halo fans make it through the good times and the bad. We are all in this together. 343 are making the franchise better and so is the community. I appreciate and enjoy reading everyone’s posts, positive or negative they all serve in making Halo better.
My only wish is 343 come up with a better solution for DLC. I have 500g of achievements still to get and it’s not far to the community at large, to not support your own content.
Also for the future, I would 1-50 back in Halo 5 and a possible release of Halo 2 Anniversary afterwards.

Why not say WHY you love halo 4 and WHY you want us to give support 343…

Totally agree. I’m a fan of Halo, just not Halo 4.
For the record, I truly did not mind when 343i took over Halo; I thought they could do just as good of a job as Bungie. Sadly I have grown disillusioned with 343i since they have continued ignore their fans and put forth minimal effort to improve Halo 4. I just don’t think they care as much as their fans do.
I love Halo and feel I’m a true Halo fan. I spent almost all day Saturday playing Halo 3.

Wrong! True halo fans love the franchise through thick and thin. The games Developers behave likewise by continuing to address our ongoing concerns. I love teh Halos, and I have been given no reason to abandon it.

That’s not being a fan of a game or franchise; that’s being a fan of a name. Fans of the Halo name enjoy Halo games whether they play like CoD, Mario Party, or Barbie Dress-Up. Makes no difference to them; it’s all Halo.
I consider myself a fan of Halo gameplay. Traditionally, Halo multiplayer gameplay consists of same starting weapons and abilities for all players, map control, pickup control, and mid-range weapon dominance. I very much enjoy Halo gameplay, but when a name becomes so detached from its original meaning that the two become completely separate, it’s time for me find a new game.

Yeah guys we are all fake fans for not playing a game we don’t enjoy /sarcasm. Wouldn’t a true Halo fan be playing Halo 3 (an actual Halo game) instead of H4? In all seriousness you are doing far more for Halo by criticizing H4 and the direction Halo is going than by pretending H4 is amazing and playing it only to be a ‘real fan’.
Unless you want future Halo games to turn out the way H4 did (dead after 6 months), you should probably drop the whole “Halo 4 to the end” mentality.

:A True Halo Fan loves all the Halo games for what makes them the same and what also makes them different.
Really halos downfall really started when call of duty became more popular and other series such as Battlefield series, Borderlands and etc all these other shooters are competing against each other for the most people now it seems like.
It really started going downhill when Halo Reach came along and really change the formula of what halo use to be because is competing with other shooters such as the Call of Duty series and the Battlefield series so it had to change to keep up with those other series if anything the Halo series is doing ok not great but ok but with all these other shooters out there and other people playing them is going to suck for a little bit even changing it back to the old way is probably not going to change too much from what you see a population wise.
I have been on these forums for a long time longer than most of the moderators I seen most of the threads of what people complain about, but overall halo is a great series and we need to do better with our constructive criticism to help halo survive and to make it a great series how we all loved and remembered it.

You might find that the phrase “true Halo fan” will not get you far here.

Just because you have played Halo since Halo CE doesn’t mean your a “true Halo fan”. That just means you like playing Halo.

What exactly is a “True Halo Fan?” This seems like a phrase people are just throwing around to feel entitled.
So just because I dislike Halo 4, that doesn’t make me a true Halo fan? -Yoink- off with that BS… So what if H4 is improving. That hardly matters when both Reach and H3 are beating the -Yoink- out of it. H4 was rushed.
You’re not a true Halo fan just because you like Halo 4 and love 343i. I true fan is someone who cares about the Halo franchise and it’s feature.

343i produced a great Halo game with lots of potential. There are a lot of features that didn’t work well at release and some things that probably should have been available at release that didn’t happen (“classic” multiplayer). Few games are perfect when released and a developer can be forgiven if those things are addressed in a timely manner. We’re upset because that hasn’t happened, and with little or no explanation. We’re confused because what they have already done shows great skill, yet they have apparently abandoned hope and are working on Halo5. We thought they were in charge of ALL of Halo, not just the next game.
