343: Waypoint Missing Gamerscore

Suggestion

I would suggest making a more detailed page for gamerscore that shows high level detail. The site already has this information on it, but keep it simple. Something like…

Game Acheivements Score
Halo 3: 79 / 79 1,750 / 1,750
Halo ODST 47 / 47 1,000 / 1,000
Total: 1,185 / 1,272 17,700 / 19,320

The old Waypoint Career page had this and so much more. But at least seeing this level of data would make it more rewarding to see the progress instead of one, generic, high level score. Would be nice to see each game, and to know exactly what’s missing all on one page.

Waypoint has been updated to include Halo wars (Xbox 360) gamerscore. 1,200 available points (game + DLC) have been restored.

I noticed the same thing, and am not happy about it either. Maybe you will get it with playing halo wars remaster automatically again?

I really hope so. Getting all the of achievements has always been one of my Halo things (I do it in zero other games, don’t even look at them). That one took some work and I would hate to have it disappear.

I made a similar post earlier today and you’re right, I noticed my gamerscore was off too and after seeing your post, it was my halo wars gamer score. Halo Wars remastered may be the same game but it’s supposed to be an xbox one version. It should have fresh achievements even if they are the same, they are a different set than the 360 ones. I doubt we have to re-unlock them with the Definitive edition as that should be considered a new set.

The web team will fix this. They have 4 versions of a mini-game, Spartan Assault, for crying out loud (:

(And I may or may not have gotten a Windows phone and Windows 8.1 at the time for 2 of them, *head down)

I tweeted Ske7ch, and he replied and said he would bring it to the team. Pretty awesome to get a direct response for once from 343 on Twitter.

Hoping this one is fixed so I can continue my unhealthy obsession well into my 30’s (:

Hi J Teeps, it is indeed great to see a tweet response this fast. I take it you have as of yet not gotten an explanation?

So, by reading this community update posted a little less that a day ago by Ske7ch:

https://www.halowaypoint.com/en-us/news/forge-onIt appears that all the halo wars achievements (1200gs) are also included in the achievement list for halo wars definitive edition, under the same name.
However, the prerequisites for obtaining the three achievements involving a certain Rank on Xbox LIVE (most notably: running the show) are changed, where you have to win Skirmish or Multiplayer Matches.
In addition, there are 4 more achievements for winning Skirmish or Multiplayer Matches totaling up to 300 more gs.

I wonder how this ties in with the (apparent) removal of the halo wars gs from the waypoint gs. I would, if possible, like to keep informed.

I think it’s a bug. Halo has never removed achievements from the gamerscore before. In fact, there are 4 versions of the same game included in the (what should be) 18,200. I hope it gets fixed soon.

I hope so too, you are probably right about it being a bug, however I wonder why it occurs with the DE on the horizon.

Little update on this one, in case anyone else is interested. The community managers are been fantastic about getting back. I bet after the Holidays the team will fix up the Xbox.com achievements side.

I’m just hoping these new achievements for HW DE are in addition to the old Halo Wars achievements from the Xbox 360 version. Just like multiple versions of Spartan Assault and Spartan strike, all Halo games should count.I tweeted Grim and Ske7ch about it now, and they both got back very quickly.

It is great to see such quick responses. It sounds like it will get looked into after the Holidays, which is great. The people of 343 deserve a break. See below for Tweets and feel free to tweet in to let them know more people care about Halo Achievements here on Waypoint ^

I’m a little disappointed that they’re adding more achievements for old games. It really isn’t necessary, and IMO is just a way to try and sell more copies of their old game.

Yeah, I felt this way when they added 4 copies of the exact same achievements for Spartan Assault. It had 360, Xbox One, Windows 8 (at the time) and Windows Phone… I was ‘that guy’ that had to get them all, lol

No, I totally get that! I’m not obsessed over achievements, but I do really like getting them. What I don’t like is getting them five times over. Kind of exploits the achievements market, which as someone with over 10K Halo gamerscore, pisses me off.

Nothing yet. Continues to be an issue, unfortunately.

I hope Sketch and Grim brought it to the team. Should be an easy fix. All the other older Halo achievements still count.

This is crazy… this is really disconcerting. So basically Halo Wars on the 360 is not considered a halo game any longer? Is this now going the way of EA, where after a year or two, the game becomes completely irrelevant? Come on…fix this!!!
