343 Waypoint Interaction

I’m seeing not only the big announcements we had to read on reddit, but reddit is even getting 343 employee interaction. Where is the interaction with waypoint?

I’m not asking for every post to be replied to or a dissertation anytime we ask for answers, but I’m seeing answers to basic questions on Twitter and reddit and crickets on waypoint.

No, I’m not raging and no it doesn’t make me depressed. I am merely making an observation and posing a question.

same here, waypoint meant to be the official halo forum or not?

It’s because they have a larger reach/ following on Reddit and Twitter.

I know that this is one of the places where they gather direct feedback (since most people don’t make it this far anyways), but the lack of engagement is a little silly, yeah.

Yeah they have a larger following in those places, but there’s no interaction here. I would understand less, but nothing is pretty sad.

There’s little interaction. I saw Postums post his controller layout one time.

Hahaha. When was that???

Waypoint has ALWAYS been a one-way form of communication. If you’d like to interact with any of the folks from 343 you need to do it through Twitter or reddit. The only real exception was when Josh Menke worked for the company and responded to ranking and matchmaking questions.

November 19 was the last time he posted his controller format.

Has always been seems unacceptable in terms of being the official forums. No matter if it’s always been this way or not, it’s not a good look. I see lots of constructive posts here get crickets, then see people on these forums quoting 343 employee replies on reddit is just lame.

I’ve neither understood nor agreed with it, but that’s the way it is.

I figured I’d point it out even if it’s already been pointed out because it’s, again, pretty lame.

I actually saved the image of those controls, they’re pretty good.

I was actually quite surprised by this as well, not even a mention in a sticky or in the news.
Luckily we have quite a few who are active on both fronts and share the info. Hope we’ll be getting a last “inside infinite” for December post launch with some solid information about the reported bugs etc during the beta and some general themes.

Yeah. I personally don’t have reddit or Twitter because of the unnecessary drama, and the drama here is almost enough for me to leave anyways. Especially with no interaction from 343, it’s becoming more and more likely.
