It compares the development and priorities of Bungie to 343.
Bungie was focused much more on what makes the game fun and what keeps people enjoying it.
343 was focused on what made the game pretty more than actually nailing the level design and making the game actually fun.

Please stop making these discussions about 343i vs Bungie anything. It has never been about that it has and always been about poor decisions made on both ends. Bungie started the problems with Halo Reach, 343i thought it was a good idea to keep them going with Halo 4 and we’re sick of their -Yoink-, from both company’s at this point.

Honestly 343 have lost our trust and respect for them on multiple occasions. It pains me to say that I really just don’t like 343 as I want them to do well but they make some of the most retarted descisions. We want Halo not some cheap Titanfall/Destiny/COD rip off. And for those of you saying : “Well if you want to play halo then just play halo 3” we can’t really as the 360 versions online population is a ghost town and MCC is still broken beyond repair. Halo 6 will be the last halo game I will have some hope for and if that fails too then I will loose all of the remaining faith I have in 343i which isn’t very much.

That doesn’t matter since Bungie isn’t making Halo’s anymore and 343i has shown that they only have a desire for change regardless of it’s context. You might as well compare socks to shirts at this point because they have no relationship.
I honestly want 343 to focus on what Bungie focused on.
Bungie wanted a long-lasting, fun game and that’s exactly what Halo 2 and 3 were.
343 wanted a pretty game, that’s all Halo 4 was. the gameplay side of Halo 4 was pitiful to say the least. The story was pretty good though, hands down

Their games aren’t that bad, they just aren’t focusing on what needs to be focused on when making a Halo game.
They especially aren’t good at supporting sub communities like the Forge Community or the Grifball community. From my point of view, all they care about is eSports and money.

You don’t need a video to tell us that. Seems pretty obvious to me. 343 doesn’t seem to concern themselves with how to make things fun, because they think certain things are just inherently fun, which is clear given how most of the gameplay mechanics they’ve included in their games is because other games have them. Certain things are fun “just because”, so they don’t put any thought into it. Once the process of actually making the game fun is “over” (as far as they’re concerned), all that matters is how pretty and/or realistic the game looks and sounds. “Why is this fun” is a question they think other games have answered for them, but the problem is, they don’t know the answer themselves.
I don’t agree with Bungie on what they said about the story, how Master Chief is better off as a blank slate. 343 definitely knew what they were talking about when discussing Chief’s characterization for Halo 4, and it paid off in that game. I understand everything else, though.

It’s gotten to the point that 343’s biggest selling point for Halo 5 was the HCS prize pool, it saddens me that this is what Halo is now lol.
I don’t care if a team of tryhards win a million dollars through the money we put into REQ packs, that doesn’t make the game funner for me or anyone else.
