343 vs Bungie comparison video

This video nails the difference in approach Bungie had to making Halo games compared to how 343 makes them. It almost brought a tear to my eyes. Man I miss when Halo was good.

There’s already a thread discussing this.

We’ve had multiple threads about this (to the point where I can accurate guess the video from the URL alone), and I’m pretty sure some were locked for a reason.

It was locked very quickly

I kinda liked what 343 was doing with chief tbh.

inb4 lock
343i has a different direction for Halo than Bungie and there’s nothing wrong with that. But to the people who still believe that Halo would be better in Bungie’s hands now, I have one word for you:
Destiny.

And to the people who think Halo is in good hands with 343:

Halo 4- worst Halo multiplayer, died within months

MCC- completely broken launch, still has bugs to this day

Halo 5- bare bones launch, still missing core game modes/features and Theater is still broken

I guess I’m just easily pleased. I enjoyed H5.

Weak story and slowly released content, sure, but I can’t argue with the gameplay, which is what I primarily buy games for. Arena was solid right from the start.

> “worst” is subjective. I’d argue that the worst is still Halo Reach…a bungie game.

> **While 343i is indeed technically in charge of this, the actual development of the game was split between several developers. This game was gonna be a buggy hell-ridden mess regardless of what 343i did.**Halo 5- bare bones launch, still missing core game modes/features and Theater is still broken
> Halo 5 from launch and now are almost completely different games, and while I understand the complaints, what’s done is done and changes have been made over time instead of just letting it fester as it did at launch. The only really huge missing mode right now is Oddball. Besides for that Halo 5 stands as having the best weapon and movement balance (sprint I can take or leave) since Halo 2. And compared to Bungie’s direction with Destiny, we clearly dodged the bullet.
