Obviously this WAR GAMES WEEKLY challenge has a typo.
The challenge is called ‘Deposed!’ for 6100XP
What it is meant to say is: Earn 18 Regicides in a single day.
I know this because I completed it and yet the most regicides I have gotten in a game is 9.
i seen people get near that lol but that challenge pretty much means (lose)
My nine carried over after my fourth match. And I got the next nine right after. I have no idea what or how it happened. But it is for killing the king.
You get credit that is cumulative for the week for the KILLS AS THE KING.
The “kill the king” challenge is 80.
The challenges and servers are -Yoinked!- right now. Nice job 343…good to see we’re paying out the -Yoink- for this -Yoink- to not even run right.
Bet Bungie is laughing all the way to the bank right now. I would be.
And take your XP cap and shove it up your -Yoink-. Tired of these games catering to the kids or the weekend warriors.
The challenge is so dumb because if im doing good and always king how can i get it?
played a couple regicide matches today still 0/18
i must agree this is an impossible challenge. i played a few matches and the most i ever saw on anyone was 8. no way 18 is possible in 1 game.
I sure hope its not in one game. Haven’t played regicide once since I saw “in one match”

And to everyone else: No it’s not in a single day or any thing else. The challenge is just plain bugged.
I’ve earned well over 10 Regicides today and my challenge progress went from 9 to 0.

… well I completed the challenge in 1 day so you think of something else to substitute for the word match other than day… or don’t… but ‘day’ might be the correct substitution
Its NEARLY impossible but it IS possible to earn 18 regicides in a single match. The way challenges carry over from match to match when its a single match challenge is very buggy and most people are going to get it from it bugging out. It’s not a typo its just near impossible unless the challenge glitches for you. I surely know its not a typo or else I would have it by now after doing a few matches.
The way i got the challenge was by playing a game of regicide and as soon as th egame ended i backed out to the main menu and exited to the dashboard. When i next started the game i checked my challenges and the challenge showed the number i had fromt the previous game. So i played another game because i thought starting at 5 13 in one game was doable. I failed to get the 13 only getting 4 so i backed out straight away again to tcheck the challenge and it showed 0 again. So i quit playing again to get some lunch. When i next started the game i checked the challenges and it now showed 9 adding together my two previous match scores. So i played another game getting another 4. this time i thought i had worked out the issue and so backed out again checked the number had reset to 0 and exited to the dashboard. I restarted the game immediately and checked the challenge now showed 13 which it did so i played one final game getting 5 or 6 bringing my total to over 18 and completeing the challenge.
I discovered this by accident i wasn’t trying to cheat so i hope i don’t get banned because it also works for any challenge that says complete in one match as i also completed drop bears on the same day over two matches.
Hopefully others can try this method to see if they can get the challenge and confirm whether this is a proper glitch or whether my game was just messing up.
Actually, the Xp cap caters to anyone but the weekend warriors, because it’s the people who can play and hit cap 7 days a week, instead of the people who only really get 1-2 days a week to really play it out, that a cap caters to. That’s part of why I feel the cap needs to go in the first place, because when those people who finally get a day to play all day and try catch up, they get held back. Cap is also so small in the first place that it feels like 343 doesn’t even want you to really play. This is compounded by the fact that the cap blocks challenge and commendation XP, which defeats the purpose of them really. If they are so dead-set on keeping an xp cap, then, in my opinion at least, the xp cap needs to be at least doubled from what it is now, and challenge and commendations need to not count towards it, not be blocked by it, so as not to discourage people from playing the second they reach cap, and to reduce how badly people who work and/or go to college get held back when they find the time to play, because it limits us much more than it limits any booster or cheater who will just try to find a way around the system in the first place. (I’ve already heard of a couple different workarounds as it is… I refuse to use any of them.)
Its a real challenge! Its hard because you can’t be the king.
I played about four matches before giving up and doing some campaign, when i went back i apparently had 9/18 (my score from my last Regicide map). So i played again and got 10, and got the challenge. That was yesterday, tonight lol, apparently i havent got the challenge anymore =(. Its such a buggy challenge, which sucks because i wanted to have 100% challenges completed for as long as possible and my streak will be over this soon
It also got reset for me and I think they fixed it because I did the same thing I did to get it the first time and i didnt get it. And also they have two deposed! challenges going on right now. One daily for 10 and one weekly for 18 which got reset for a lot of the people who completed it.
