Explain How I get Nothing out of this
I did like 99% of the damage (give or take) and I don’t even get an assist for this kill? If this isn’t a prime example of the boss system needing some fixes I don’t know what is. Also it is hard to see in the clip, but right before the boss dies as the wraith is blowing up I get a last second hit marker with the laser. My team at least got the credit for the kill, but I cant understand how I don’t even get an assist for this…someone enlighten me and explain this magic.
i think it is luck on assists. i believe it is like 4 players. this is of course is what put out in older posts here.

So luck takes place instead of who actually did more damage amongst a team? Lovely.
I think it was said before that you only get assists on bosses if the boss was hit at the same time.

That’s a stretch to call it an assist if that’s the case.
The system does not care and is extremely random. There have been multiple instances where others, myself included have been rewarded for legendary boss kills despite inflicting 0 damage. Wraith bosses are an interesting case, because they still take damage during their explosion animation. So, lets say the Wraith boss starts to explode, as long as someone gets the last shot that inflicts any damage, the system seems to reward them.
IMO it’s a stupid system and should be replaced with one that splits the points based on Damage %.

As soon as I saw that it was rok I knew what happened. With vehicle bosses, you aren’t hitting the boss itself your hitting the vehicle. Its a god awful system. You can force them out of the vehicle and they’ll have a different health bar that has less resistance. Now the issue with Rok in general is that he is a wraith boss and the wraith is terrible when it comes to giving credit. It doesn’t matter you got the last bit of health on a wraith, just who hit it last while its exploding
That happens to me A LOT! On normal AI enemies, Bosses, and even against other players in Arena, where I can hit a guy 2-3 times, get hit markers, and get no assist. Its odd. My friends laugh at me because I often say “WTF? I didn’t even get an assist for that?”
I had a Phaeton Boss appear over head, someone grazed it with a Spartan laser, I one shot it for the kill and the take, so your guess is as good as mine…
