Let’s be real Halo Community, no matter what feedback we give or how much you guys complain 343 is turning a blind eye to everything so save your breath. They have clearly stated that they only care about the small population of gamers the “pros” and are ignoring the much much much larger general community of gamers.
I play mlg so I don’t have an issue with the competitive play but i also like the laid back social aspect of multi player. I do feel bad for the gamers that arent on the mlg level and play multi player for the fun of it because eventually they’ll just stop playing and the community with shrink very quickly soon like previous 343 projects.
I’m all up for change and exploring new ideas with the halo universe but what 343 is doing is just out right ludicrous. 343 has tailored the halo universe listening to a small group of tunnel vision thinkers that dont even play the game, just makes them or a group of professionals who do nothing but play video games all day forgetting the other gamers who have real life’s and can’t do as such.
The real enjoyment of Halo is gone now, just a thing of the past. So to my day 1 Halo 1 till now real halo fans… you’re just going to have to get over it, deal with it and find a new franchise to explore. Rainbow 6 IS coming out soon! :).

Exactly this!
As a casual gamer myself, I couldn’t have said what you just did any better. Thank you!
343i has intentions of bringing these things back, just slowly. All you have to do is be patient.
Completely disagree.
Warzone is the biggest push for casual halo players we’ve seen since firefight.
There is a no skill starting weapon now!!! Honestly, spray and pray… this game has the potential to be awesome for competitive players but as is sits currently casuals rule the roost.

As the above said, Warzone is very casual player friendly. 343 designed Halo 5’s multiplayer so the more competitive people could play and rank up in Arena and the less competitive, ‘casual’ gamers could enjoy Warzone.
Think about it: Warzone doesn’t require you to be fantastic at killing other players. You can score points by taking down Promethean and Covenant AI, killing Marines and capturing bases. There’s lots of stuff to enjoy even if you aren’t the best at PVP.
Really? Were they only “catering to the pros” when they put in loadouts, ordinance, and armor abilities in Halo 4? They got tons of flack for that, and now that they revert to what people wanted, people like you complain that they’re making it too competitive. Just like the previous Halos. They’ve listened to tons of feedback even if you want to turn a blind eye to it so you can push your agenda. They have already talked about social playlists and warzone is just fine for those who don’t want to be as competitive. Tell me, if they weren’t listening, how did we end up with a forge, 10x more capable than any we’ve had before? The real enjoyment you’re talking about is your nostalgia, and it won’t come back.
BTW, as great as Rainbow 6 is, it won’t last nearly as long as Halo 5.
I’m not sure who you are playing Warzone with, but when I (a casual gamer) play Warzone, I try to kill the scripted AI events (e.g. Promethians) only to get picked off by the enemy human pro gamers with their headshots.

I’m sorry, but I could sympathize with you before, but at this point, you’re making it sound as if anyone capable of using their thumbs is some mlg pro without a life who lives in their parent’s basement. We get that you aren’t a fan, you don’t need to push that agenda on every thread.
I’m going to play Reach when it comes out on Xone via Backward Compatibility, im going to play fat kid or another custom mode, i’m not 15 years old, i dont have time to play like a pro.
Besides this i love Reach customization, Reach ranks (ohhh my god but this is the worst Halo, armor lock man ohh omg) i dont care about armor lock, i will play for fun a game that i love to customize my spartan, a game with a beautiful campaign mode, a game with a marvelous art direction.
Halo community is blinded by 343, the little things that we love is dead now, like the cool armor style or a great story mode with good characters.
Be prepared, people will answer this thread telling you to play Destiny, personally i don’t want to play Destiny, i want to play Halo, but the Halo that i love is dying.

I played one game round where both teams fought TOGETHER to bring down the AI boss. It was fun.
The rest of HALO 5 multiplayer: not so much.

I can’t lie, this was one hell of a plot twist
Thats not fair. They’ve gone back to a lot of the classic Halo formula after the fan feedback on Halo 4. People should give credit where due.
