so, the complaints on microtransactions are not that they are there it is the fact they are not good or too expensive or just not worth it. I will admit the Cat ears was a perfect Cosmetic to add in the games shop no matter how many chauvinistic males complained about it.
343 you want to get us excited about cosmetics and you’re missing the perfect opportunity to do so.
First put the energy sword into the Weapon Amory
Second gives us five colors for the energy sword to purchase Red, Green, Yellow, Purple and Pink yes fellas pink you’ll be surprised.
Third only make them 200 credits a piece. Why so cheap simple when something cool is very low you’ll get more people purchasing it. Yes at 500 credits you’ll get a nice number of people buying one of the colors but at 200 credits there will be even more saying heck 1000 credits I’ll just buy them all.
Last is less about cosmetics about more about getting people more incline to make these purchases and that is the introduction to Infection. 343 if you did an Infection event for 1 or 2 weeks plus adding those five colors in the shop it might just break the store. Also, in the levels sections you can add for free a silver and a gold color energy sword and for the very last level prize the two special energy swords that Jega 'Rdomnai has in the campaign, I mean yes, it is more for cosmetics since it cannot do more damage but how cool would it look running around with a long sword on one hand and a short sword on the other hand while it being your favorite color. You can even add the two swords as a spartan Stance.
That is how you get the community to spend money in the store with a smile on their faces.
and for the Chauvinistic men who are cringing over the color pink nothing would be cooler than to see you getting taken out and then tea bagged by a spartan with a pink energy sword.
The cat ears were the wrong choice, Halo has always had better cosmetics when it’s Tacticool and realistic, but energy sword colours are a decent idea, they even did them in MCC and from a lore point you oukd say it’s just burning different gasses for different effects or fuel. As for the special swords from campaign or any special weaoj from campaign for that matter, they can be added in the multiplayer as pickups as seen by manipulating the Fiesta game type in many videos. And 343 are aiming for more sales, they’re aiming for the whales. Why sell 1 millions items at £1 when you can sell 1 item at £1. They’ll always be someone who buys it, it’s pretty much the mobile game way of microtransactions.
Why not just give make the Sword in the Armory & add weapon attachments to it to change the design of the hilt & Blade Design like the Prophets Bane, Halo Reach Sword & the H2 design with colours as the bonus option
I doubt this would be possible since only UNSC weapons are the ones with monetised aspects to em, would be nice to have a neat pattern for the blade but it seems unlikely.
Personally think every weapon and pick ups should be in the armoury.
Have say 5-10 skins to unlock by using said item, headshots, deflects etc count towards different types kinda like halo 4 and say cod.
For items you can have different effects example drop wall could be different colours or lighting/fire effects etc
Weapons just need skins and the other items that you can equip.
After you have a decent base of free and progressive unlocks, Only then should they even think of putting in microtransaction weapon/armour skins and equipment packs.
There is no reason other than enjoying gameplay to play atm unless you buy skins or the BP other than fracture events and the weak weekly rewards
Look, if 343 really wanted to monetize the game in the right way, it should have been a cheap MP price.
10 bucks. Full MP experience. Battlepass is free, and store is additional content for like 3 bucks per individual item, 10bucks for a full bundle.
Free colour customization, Coatings are unique like patterns and such, and most importantly, armor loadouts so you can save different “looks”.
No bull RNG challenges, and challenges are playlist based instead of specific mode/weapon based. Campaign purchasers have additional Campaign challenges. They’ve bought Campaign afterall.
Or, they can man up and back up their own words giving the path they said there was with the customization and earning items without paying for it.
It’s not like they don’t know how to looking at previous titles. Besides that, I don’t know who approves the items being sold or let alone creates the items because most of the work is garbage, and it shows both suck at their job.
Honestly i know 343 will not read this. I love to just come up with ideas and write them out, but I forget about toxic folks online like yourself who life is so pathetic you must go online and harass other people.
Gotta say, not a bad idea. But micro transactions should never have been in a halo game. The one reason I still play halo 5 and don’t play infinite is because halo 5 has it where you could get everything without spending a cent, which I did and have nearly collected everything at Sr 142 which there’s no point in going to 152 even though I want to because the 152s have been dissed. Also not sure why you mention male chauvinist in this. What good does calling all those who don’t like cat ears male chauvinists. I think it’s unnecessary, but whatever
I don’t understand why you got to keep taking shots at men in your post. Did something happen to you or are you having a hard time accepting who you are? Very childish of you.
Oh look, now we have a cat ear fanboy/fangirl who created this topic just to spite people, especially us men, who have every valid reason in the book to hate cat ears!
Every day that Halo (In)finite exists, I lose a bit more faith in humanity. It’s just better that Halo not have microtransactions at all or if they still have to be in the game, at least make them like Halo 5 where you don’t have to pay a single dime to unlock everything!
Not taking a shot at men but at trolls like yourself who comes in rude. I did not buy the cat ears it is not for me but I know tons of people who loves it. So saying that you do not like cat ears is one thing but saying it was a mistake is another thing and your comment about being a pink pussycat spartan shows you are a chauvinistic troll. Would I sport pink no but would others yes how do I feel about a pink spartan with cat ears more power for anyone who would sport it and i support them and their fashion choice.
There shouldn’t be microtransactions in the first place. It should be a simple ‘you buy the entire game upfront’, addition ‘special’ colors and crap can be sold in large batches for $10~ every other month or so, battle passes same difference. This allows them to make money after launch, make people happy with customizations, etc. But thanks to things like fortnite, and COD selling hundreds of little pieces for multiple dollars a piece, 343i thought they could use the Halo name to do the same, and it’s just a violation of what I thought Halo was. At first I was like whatever, I won’t care, I will buy $100 worth in total, but then I started seeing the egregious cost of EACH ITEM. Dear God. It is just ridiculous at this point.
