Hey everyone
So despite what an absolute effing nightmare it was the last time I tried playing double, I thought I’d give it a go again so I could get my ranking. Big. Mistake. Last season I ranked Gold. The person on my team for this game I just did was ranked Silver. I am currently unranked this season. So what does the worst matchmaking system I’ve ever used do? Puts me and this random with silver ranking against a 2 man fireteam who are both champion level. You can pretty much guess what happened next.
Is it really just me that thinks this is completely -Yoinking!- unacceptable? It’s not like this is even a rare occurrence because it happens all the -Yoinking!- time. Oh and I searched using focused, so there’s the nail in the coffin of ANOTHER 343 lie. -Yoinking!- sick of it its this sort of -Yoink- that makes me not want to play this -Yoinking!- game anymore.
We all pay the same amount for our Xbox live Subscriptions and our copy of Halo 5 and yet, the servers still favor people who live close to Los Angeles, Dallas Tx, Des Moine ia, Columbus OH, and all of West Virginia. When are we getting more servers because this is some bull. I’m tired of people who live close to these areas always having the advantage, and you can tell they are bad players and yet the still win because of connection. When is the northern united stated getting a server?As far as a quality connection and a somewhat fair game goes

Colorado, Utah, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, North and South Dakota, Alaska.
British Colombia, and Alberta CanadaThese States and Providences have the worst connectivity In almost all of the world.
The only place you could live with worse connection is Africa, Russia, Colombia, And Alaska.

Yep. Except people outside the US get an ever worse connection and almost always pay more than in the US. American companies completely shaft people outside the US whenever they get a chance and it’s disgraceful.

And then it comes Respawn, that with Titan fall 2 has expanded the number of data centers using not only azure’s ones but also amazon’s and google’s for a total of more than 40 SELECTABLE data centers.
Here in Italy i was able to play some matches from the beta with a 30ms ping.

Well I live in Alaska and my connection is just fine.

WOW! I just checked the screen shot and I would not have believed it if I did not see it. Really 343? Really? Do you really want ranked doubles to fail that badly?
Great job finishing out the game, but for me it’s reason enough never to touch that play list.

Practice makes perfect. You learn by getting your butt kicked numerous times. You get better by spending countless hours learning and practicing.

Which I do, and being put against someone who could out play me with their eyes closed isn’t in the least bit helpful. It’s demoralising and frustrating. I agree with you to a point but being matched against people THAT much better is just pointless, we almost complete opposite ends of the scale.

I know it can be. Going way back to the old days of Halo CE, I was 11 years old but my skill was much higher than my friends and the neighborhood kids. We would get together almost every weekend and LAN together. After some FFA and Team Slayer matches, it would turn into “everyone vs me” game. So it’d be 4v1 or even 8v1 and we would switch the maps and continue playing like that because the skill gap between them and me was so great. It became incredibly frustrating while fun at the same time. The countless games and hours I spent playing with my friends like that helped me evolve as a player to take on groups of people and uneven odds in multiplayer. Now it’s not something that always works but it gives me a leg up in most cases. It taught me how to handle pressure, to try and take down as many as I could before getting killed, to think, adapt, and try to stay one step ahead of everyone else. It really helped me out in the long run. It also continued into the Halo 2 and Halo 3 days.
I know its frustrating and demoralizing but you gotta keep going. Learn from those bad games and make yourself a better player for it. Keep your cool and don’t freak out.

When did I cry about it? I was such a huge fan of Halo during the original trilogy era and played constantly, and yes those games are fun and I achieved some of the highest ranks possible, but how does a game being broken effect my skill set? Halo 3’-Yoink!- detection was awful yet I still got 50’s? The comparison between a broken game and a players skill has no correlation what so ever.

How exactly do you play “better,” when the person has a good second Avantage on you? Plus my last 5 or 6 games had sever rubber banding and once it took a while 30-45 seconds for my shields to recharge. I have pretty good internet and don’t have a problem with any other game. 343 needs to fix their dedicated servers. I’m not sure what is the prolems with them are, but it seems like I get on a bad server and that’s it for the next 5-10 matches.
