343: The Best Developer Out There

It’s true. 343 is doing everything right. Free DLC, endless updates, and implementing community feedback. Frankly, not many developers these days can pull off what 343 is doing.

Bravo, 343! Bravo!

I can not say they are the best (because I do not know every single game dev out there) but I can say that I am very pleased with how they are treating the community right now.

I wouldn’t say best, competent yea, but not the best, personally project Red creates better products though those are also single player only games

“Free DLC” that is one step above shovelware thus far.

Eight “new” maps announced at this point.
Six of the eight built in Forge
One of the eight is a “remix” of an existing map using no new assets.
One is a Warzone map that is largely (though not entirely) built upon existing Warzone assets.

New weapons and vehicles are largely reskins (reskins, not even remodels!) of existing weapons.

Yes, it’s free. I’d rather $8 for another Heroic Map Pack or Noble Map Pack than be treated with this sort of “DLC.”

Also, 343i released the broken mess that was MCC and then pretended they didn’t know it was broken.

Please be aware that Halo 5 is missing many old gametypes, fun playlists, and in general more things to do. This “free DLC” are just required updates to the game, and we keep getting them until we have a complete game. Plus wouldn’t be “free” maps even if they were bonuses because 343icrosoft is making tons of money from the new micro transactions. Only a portion of the money made is going to the HCS, not all of it. Updates last until June 2016, not endless. And they haven’t responded to the outcry for a PvE Warzone or just anything like Fightfight because we need that. 343i isn’t perfect.

Better than CD Project Red? Better than Bethesda? Better than Blizzard? I’m sorry, sir, but you must be high.

No body can do it like bethesda can.

Bethesda releases overly glitchy games. Not usually game breaking stuff, but their games lack polish, IMO. I see them as slightly above average.

343i released Master Chief Collection. Unless you go full Big Rigs, that’s hard to top.

Can you blame them? Their games are packed! Testing that on top of creating it is an absolute goal!

I felt the sarcasm across the country. haha but seriously this game is a joke. COD makes a game every year that is comparable to Halo, Reach and 3 had far more content AT LAUNCH and was a 3 year creation. No excusing this game, nor Destiny.

Yes, we can blame them. Five minutes into playing the game and it’s a glitchy mess that can’t find any games. It’s impossible to argue that 343 did little to no testing of the game and knowingly released a broken game that stayed that way for months.

That is a crock of -Yoink-

Idk. The guys in CD project red, the ones who do the Witcher Series, are pretty up there. Hell Witcher 3 isone of the best games out there to date

Yeah, but the MCC was outsourced to 4 different gamestudios from 343i, not counting Blur’s work on the cutscenes (obviously). That is asking for problems. When does a game ever turn out well with numerous studios working on it?

I’m not absolving MCC of being plagued with problems, but I am saying that I don’t entirely see its failure as being 343i’s alone.

Who pushed its release? Who decided it was a good idea to re-develop 4 games and release them as one while that same studio tasked with that job was also tasked with creating the next blockbuster (or fizzler) Halo title simultaneously? Outsourcing was necessary, but perhaps to one major studio that could handle development like that.

They actaully have responded to it lol.

The individual ports on MCC actually worked fantastically for the most part. Most of the issues with MCC were with the main UI - the one part of the game 343i actually developed.

Im not a COD supporter, but seriously, if they can why cant Halo? Besides that whole “split up the company” thing. 343 has Microsoft on their side unlike Destiny, no reason it cant be impressive.
