I was really excited by halo 5 but now I’m really really disappointed I mean I expected a lot of things to be brought back but things are just getting worse …no Spartan ops no elites playable(gives the game mode features more diverse I mean basically expands the game) no split screen, armour customization is not like halo 4 I mean everyone loved those n they just removed that I made it just like sets with helmets n small things customizable …I mean come on the features we like just stripping them on by one just making the game linear the campaign looks g8 with open spacesdoesn’t look linear but why remove something which madethe game better …thn we have no firefight (at least that’s ok cuz halo 4 dint have it) currently warzone is the only mode which they came up with I mean really ? It’s fun no doubt but the game has to be diverse halo had every element …STOP STRIPPING DOWN THINGS WHICH PEOPLE LOVE …REALLY DISAPPOINTED SO FAR …the campaign looks Gud but rest the features the contents just going awayits Xbox one we r talking about not a 360 instead Yll remove beautiful features

I know you’re probably a young kid, but can you use some full stops please!
Sorry champ, 343i doesn’t have infinite time and resources. They aren’t taking out features from previous games because they enjoy doing so…
We’re already getting the largest campaign ever, more multiplayer maps at launch then ever (plus 15 more totally free as DLC), the largest multiplayer experience ever in Warzone, and the largest jump in Forge capabilities since its initial creation.
Elites aren’t in the game because they have a different hitbox and are by definition, not competitive. Old school MLG tournaments literally banned players from using the Elite model for this very reason…
They can’t do everything unless you are willing to wait 6 years for every Halo game and willing to pay $100 for the base game.
Imagine being asked to paint an 8x10 picture in 10 minutes of a beautiful day at the park with 10 color options.
Now imagine you were asked to paint a picture of a beautiful day at the park on a 20x30 in 10 minutes and you had 100 color options.
Just because the second painting is bigger and has more color options doesn’t mean it will be better. Because of the larger canvas, the work needs to be rushed a little more and maybe some trees or people (halo features in my analogy) need to be cut in order to meet the 10 minute deadline.
i get everyone is upset that there taking away split screen but think about it in this prospective xbox one games are massive and adding more features would make it even more massive the xbox one has a large hard drive and with massive games it eats alot of memory i get everyones frustration with the lose of splitscreen just think now you can pass the controller

Couldn’t have said it better myself. The development process of a video game is a give and take affair. Finite reasources means that for every new feature you add you might be forced to remove others. We still haven’t seen what changes they have done to Forge but Frankie said thay heve revised it to a massive degree. Making Forge a more proper map editor would make all those sacrifices worth it IMO. The stuff that people were able to build with the limited toolbox of the previous Forge versions was absolutely amazing. Now imagine what the community would be able to achieve with the new tools given.
Halo 5 is certainly not going to be a feature poor game.

I agree. I think those who think that 343i is removing features just because probably don’t understand deadlines, budgets, resources, etc… While I think removing split-screen was a terrible decision and the XB1 not having LAN(not 343i’s fault) was also a terrible decision, the damage is done. Sure, it’s OK for people to complain about the things they do not agree with, like Sprint or Clamber, but a lot of times, some people seem to complain just for the sake of complaining and expect 343 to throw in everything AND the kitchen sink and will complain over the smallest thing not being added that they wanted added. I’m sure they have their reasons for not adding certain features.
As long as the game is fun(which the Beta was for ME) and the campaign tells an interesting story, I’ll be happy.

You guys are both wrong. People have these high expectations because bungie set them up so high. Bungie had big campaigns, lots of multiplayer maps, more forging and custom games options all while having full body customization and adding firefight and theater and file shares. You say budget and time constraints well bungie was able to do it so what youre saying makes 343 even worse.

Is that why Bungie are having to release what seems to be the vast majority of Destiny’s content in DLC nearly a year after its release? Games are just so much more expensive to make now, especially AAA titles

And now 343 gave us warzone instead of firefight, and other alternatives weapon skins for customization. Also, there’s going to be more mp maps then beforte so idk what that parts about. And they’re giving us forge and custom games too…
Edit: I should have looked at their ranks earlier lol. Reported
The features aren’t being “stripped”, they’re being replaced. 343 wanted to do new things with Halo 5 (larger campaign, more multiplayer maps at launch, Warzone, etc.), which unfortunately meant that in order to focus on making those things great, they didn’t have the time and resources to provide everything that’s ever been in Halo (Spartan Ops, Firefight, splitscreen, etc.). Elites are most likely not playable in multiplayer because of their different hitboxes and general imbalance that they bring to gameplay, and I can’t say that I’m at all disappointed by their absence.

It seems like whenever something doesn’t come back to the next game, everyone freaks out and says 343 is making a game with less content

I would add on that Bungie does not support split screen with Destiny so they wouldn’t have if they still had Halo.

Sunk a hundred hours in Destiny. Went back to halo 4 when there was nothing new to do. Had so much fun that I gave destiny away for free to a girl I went out on a date with because I didn’t want it. Date went south though. Someone broke into my car while in the movies. But thay is another story

Off Topic:
Your car being broken into, did you have anything visible laying around? I park my car on the street and for years no one ever touched it. Then, one day, I let someone borrow it, they leave something out/visible, and it’s broken into that night. I always try to remember to hide EVERYTHING. No matter how small it it. A couple of cop friends even told me, if you have a GPS holder, hide it as thieves will break in and look in your glove compartment because they know no one ever takes their GPS inside with them.
Anyway, sorry about your car being broken into.
**Back On Topic:**I decided to wait for the inevitable Game Of The Year Destiny Edition. Glad I waited as everyone is telling me the same thing. Not enough content unless you pay for the DLC. Short story.

Bungie had big campaigns, lots of multiplayer maps, more forging and custom games options all while having full body customization and adding firefight and theater and file shares. You say budget and time constraints well bungie was able to do it so what youre saying makes 343 even worse.

> Lol this date story seems interesting
There was nothing to it. Met a girl who was really into video games online. Decided to go on a date with her. Brought a copy of Halo: Reach and Destiny for her to play. Borrow Reach, keep Destiny. Went to the movies. Some guy broke into my car because I has a empty shoebox in the back seat. Had nothing of value stolen. Didn’t even go for the 12 pack of DR Pepper I had next to it.
If only he knew the games were in the glove box. Came out. And she was all like, “wow, that car got smashed it.” Looked around and was like “Your right… God -Yoink!-. That’s my car” check to see if anything was stolen. Just a old camelback I kept from Iraq with mold in the water bag. Been lazy to take it out and clean it.
Gave the girl the games. Said goodbye. Waited for cops that never came. Even though the dispatcher said one was coming to dust for prints. (California for you.) Camped in my car all night. Got a call from the cops and did the report over the phone. Drove home. Got my window repaired. (Out over $230 +) got drunk. That’s about it.

For me personally, while I did have fun playing Firefight(didn’t care much for Spartan Ops), I am more excited for Warzone. It looks like a nice mix of Big Team Battle AND Firefight and with a decent team and friends,it should be a lot of fun.
