343 Stop the JIP games

This is probably the most annoying thing in H5 WZ. It doesn’t happen in Arena! You guys put WZ Turbo up for 2 weeks, I never got 1 JIP game. It was fun, no getting JIP’ed into games. If the players quit or got kicked from the servers that was it. You played got smashed and game over. You guys are giving us JIP games only when the team is losing bad and everyone quits for whatever reason. Is this fair to the players that get put in a no win game. Maybe players will be less likely to quit if they have somewhat of a chance to play the whole game instead of playing for 5 mins getting hammered by the other team that’s at req level 6 when you get put in at level 3 with a BR going against tanks and whatever else is on the battlefield you don’t have a chance against.

I like how join in progress is abbreviated JIP.
Because the games you join usually are.
Jip synonyms swindle, cheat, or con.
Doubt it’s a coincidence…

I’m pretty sure that is an antiziganist slur, so you really shouldn’t be saying it…And you’re spelling it wrong

There are two spellings.
One is derived from the other, one is offensive.

(Dictionary definition)

I’ve never seen it spelled that way, but ok. Either way, I’d be careful using a word like that

JIP is karma for quitters. Stop quitting, and JIP will stop.

It’s more like the cancer quitters give to others.

As many a 343i-suckboys on here insist “Dude maybe you shouldn’t play warzone nargh nargh nargh.” Good luck getting any positive feed back from this community.
I think JIP is needed cause there are more started games than actual lobbies. The player count is so small it will only increase. This studio can’t and won’t make the right decisions, unless its 40% complete or they can charge ya for it. RIP Halo.

You’re being JIP’d into losing games because it’s self fulfilling. You’ll rarely be put into a winning game, because that requires someone on the winning team to quit, and why would they ever do that?

So once you’re put onto the losing team, you’ll go “Well this isn’t worth it I’m already losing” and quit, while the remaining team gets beaten harder because of lack of numbers, and then anyone else who JIPs into that team (which becomes more and more people as they quit) will say the same thing and quit more, all while the score gap keeps increasing.

Most likely because they either lose connection to the server or get invited to play something else. It is social after all.

My guess on why you get put on winning teams is because the game is trying to balance out your win/loss record.

There really has to be an incentive for JIP to be worthwhile. You don’t even get full XP/RP. It’s almost a punishment.

Being put on a winning team because someone quit is few and far in between, especially compared to the losing team who can also face those exact scenarios.

Lol…Actually it was a coincidence. I didn’t mean as literal Jip, that’s why I capitalized it. Acronym for join in progress (JIP). I was just making a suggestion, comparing the WZ Turbo without getting a join in progress compared to regular WZ. I get join in progress almost every game. I loose a lot of XP from boosts because I’m only in the game for a very short period of time.

Just the other day, our friendly neighbourhood JIP dropped me into the ending cinematic screen of a lost paintball game.

Truly, a well designed and executed system. Good times.

Rather JIP stays in social playlists, Warzone. It’s really not fun staying in a game where quitters ruin it for others and I don’t want to have to be waiting on the game to end while being spawn killed just because a game wouldn’t have JIP. As for exp boosts…I think it was poorly executed. There should be an option for exp boosts to carry over into the next game with a timer remaining instead of it being wasted.

No, no and more no. The so-called, Join in Progress fuction should be and should have always been an end user client option that can be toggled via the settings menu. How dare that, the control of searching for a game not be in control of the end user. How dare that, the end user, such as myself be just thrown into a random match, at a random point in that game, no matter the current score of both teams.

How dare that, if I do not wish to participate in this random game, to which those, “Deal with it” sunglasses are on, the particular user receives a temporary ban if the user decides to exit out.

How dare, this matchmaking feature control my multiplayer experience while searching, playing and restricting my time while in the game.

Yep it should be optional but at the same time it’s only a problem mainly if a game is loading up small team based game types.

ok but I wasn’t trying to say there’s anything wrong with using the acronym JIP. Also, I could be wrong, but if I remember correctly, you get your boosts refunded if you join in progress. At least I think so.

True but a while back I got the easiest daily win pack ever because of it

wish you had a 5 second quit time

JIP being an optional function defeats the whole purpose of JIP to begin with. Everyone is going to turn it off because people don’t want to be in a potentially losing game, meaning that games where people quit will almost never have people filling in the now-empty spots, meaning matches become more lopsided and people get stomped more, and people come right back here to complain that the game is unfair and quitters need to be banned for life or whatever.

Every game is, to an extent, random. You’re meeting random players on a random gametype on a randomly chosen map.
