343 stop catering to children

Give us a ranking system, I know it’s being worked on but if this was planned to be implemented then it should have been there since day 1.

Give us proxy chat, part of playing halo was trash talking to each other before, after and during a game.

Dim down the crazy aim assist, do I need to go into detail explaining this one?

Buff vehicle durability and warthog damage, if a group of people is being roflstomped by vehicles and are unable to do anything about it then they deserve it! Part of the halo feel people got when they played “Real” halo was jumping in a vehicle with friends and going for a joyride.

Give a full medal earned list both in-game and on waypoint.

Stop making maps too large for 4v4 slayer like complex, you spend more time trying to find people on that map then actually playing the game.

Edit: Forgot to add instant respawn, remove this crappy excuse for a faster paced game!

Aight I’m done feel free to add what you would like to see in the game. I just want that Halo feeling back.

Buff Ghosts and Warthogs.
Leave Banshee the same.
Nerf the -Yoink- out of the mantis.

I hate that thing with a passion. It moves at a decent speed. It isn’t vulnerable at close range unlike the tank. It has a gatling gun and can fire five rockets at once. It can tank two spartan laser hits. It can stomp anyone around it. It’s just -Yoinking!- ridiculous.

Next, map variants with power weapons actually on the map. Team slayer pro is decent, but the rest you have to basically rely on ordnance to get them.

My biggest problem isn’t about catering to children, because as a child I was relatively good at the games I played, although I was 15 when I played my first FPS (Halo 3 in 2009, I’ve played all Halo’s bar Halo 2 and Wars).

343i and almost all of the gaming industry are catering to noobs, they are trying to close the gap between the skilled and the useless. Instead of the skilled completely annihilating the noobs, the noobs are given a chance (Personal Ordinance) to get kills against the better skilled.

Catering to the noobs may get them more money in the short-term, BUT it reduces the longevity of the game. I bought Halo 3, 2 years after it came out and played it until late 2010, and then on and off until Halo 4’s release.
That is the sign of true longevity.

  1. SHUT UP. ABOUT. THE RANKING SYSTEM.

  2. There’s a Specialization called Operator that boosts vehicle durability. You should choose that as your first Specialization if that’s your problem with vehicle durability.

  3. I actually would like to see a list showing all the medals you got.

  4. I think the bigger problem with Complex is to patch that glitch in Complex where you can go into a wall. That’s incredibly frustrating in Flood when you’re hunting for survivors. But I guess that’s what PV is for.

But to add to the topic of the thread, I say that 343i needs to wake up and actually listen to the community.
