On halo reach firefight you could play as an elite and kill player spartan’s and have friendly covenant A.I. so this was P v P v E or warzone on a smaller scale.

I don’t think it’s stealing if it is inside publishers. Nintendo has a lot of crossever things between Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Donkey Kong, ect.
Stealing is like Halo creating theatre mode, looking down and seeing your feet, and other things… and COD adding it into their games without awknoledging Halo. I also disliked COD’s dirty move taking Game Fuel ahead of time (wich traditionally was branded Halo) with BO3. They are a mean competitor to Halo.
I hope that Halo puts a copyright on Forge mode.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but “Halo” isn’t an entity and can’t do anything, and custom map creators have been a thing since early gaming.

Besides other games doing it waaaay before Halo. Hell, many games like Counter strike spawned from map and mode modding/creation from older games. Like Half-Life.

And pc game has had map editors. To full world creation like in Arma series.
Also on topic. I know the Elites with AI was in. But it never made it onto MM and I don’t remember anyone ever playing it for customs. No one bothered. For it was a gimmick that Bungie didn’t really support
I’ve been saying this since people have complained about “originality.” I don’t care where the idea comes from. I don’t care if it’s a brand new idea or not. All I care about is if it’s fun and interesting in the game i’m playing. And frankly that’s all anyone should care about when it comes to ideas.
