343 should stop focusing on customization and concentrate on playable content

Well, here we go, new roadmap update with little content to look forward to but more of what hardly someone actually wants. 343 is quite obviously not only not listening to the community by pushing their monetization items instead of finally bringing actually playable content (modes, maps, playlists), they are quite frankly and simply demonstrating that they do not care. While at least Online-Coop is slowly getting into sight, now they’re breaking their promise back from Halo 5 to make it Splitscreen. TtK, overpowered AR and other tweaks are still not being adressed - but instead we’ll have more customization options and Forge will be…a Beta for now! That’s great, right?..

I can only assume that management forces this focus on features that possibly generate money (which also explains why everything is still way to overpriced) to compensate for
the delays and the overall disadvantages which came with the decision to make Infinite Free-To-Play in order to attract more players.

It is a shame, since Infinite is hands-down the best Halo since Halo 3 in terms of gameplay, but the lack of playable content in comparison to ANY other Halo title is disturbing and foremost disappointing. Instead it is full of customizations that are overpriced and also totally misplaced and terribly looking to please a young audience that is willing to pay and so naive to not know what games once were made of.
I really wonder how Infinite is supposed to be a long term game as Halo 3 was with that little to actually offer.

343 - if you want to save that game, shift your focus on important content such as game modes, new maps and playlists first THEN start thinking about new customizations. There are more than enough of them already.
Shrink your battlepass Levels to 50, up the XP needed per level instead, give people some decent XP for completing a game as you did in MCC and make the unlocks actually rewarding, so you’ll don’t need as many of them.
And how about actually surprising your fanbase by KEEPING your promises such as a Splitscreen-Coop that was always one of the essential features of Halo?

AR is perfect as it is, stop bringing it up as a main issue with the game when it’s a matter of differing opinions within the community.

The rest nothing to discuss.

The Assault Rifle’s dominant position in mid-close range engagements is not a known issue, it’s a design choice.

As for the rest? Yeah, you tell ‘em.

Yeah, games that have had big come backs did so because they weren’t trying to nickle and dime you the whole time (or 10-20 dollar you more likely these days).

Sea of Thieves and No Man’s Sky both didn’t do microtransactions while they were trying to fix their game. It showed their commitment to making the game good before asking for more.

There is literally a perfect balance between customization and playability (though the death of MCC will see more game modes emerge, I am sure).
